Nami is not a part of Org 13.

Namine was the tool by which they experimented, she was not the subject of experimentation.

By "subject" he may have meant the main variable in conducting the experiments, not necessarily that she was the one being tested on.

Besides, Kairi only just arrived on the Meteor Shower, how could Sora remember promising her anything? He didn't even know her.

Which was the same as she did for Riku when it came down to it, so much Sora had trouble remembering him in the Destiny Islands Memory World.

Though, sometimes I thought that Namine was purposely witholding her name from his memories, because she was having second thoughts.

Seeing part of the theories about Days, that could've just as easily been her not wanting to retie the Memories while Sora was still gone, so as to not hurt Kairi.
Also, as shown in the Memories she gave Sora, Namine being there does not mean Kairi being gone ("there was Another girl"). She doesn't seem to be the kind of person to second thought that after everything she's been through, imo.

The abomination was never properly explained >;[ (unless, of course, you wanna say her being a PoH was what made Kairi shun Riku during KH1, and then it can be used to explain her connection to Sora via the PoH-KM relation).

He's using "subject" in a different context than I was.

By "subject," I meant the one being experimented on.

By "subject," he meant the one used to experiment.

And, as I said, Nomura said that the only people intended to be experimented on were the Organization. Sora interfered, so naturally they'd find it fitting to involve him.

Question: Please confirm some things about Castle Oblivion. In the additional event “The Truth about the Chamber of Sleep”, you can gather from Xigbar and Zexion’s conversation that Castle Oblivion existed in the Inbetween Realm before the birth of the Organization. The Organization then found it and used it for experiments about memories and to look for the Chamber of Awakening, right?

Nomura: Yes. Since their conversation was about Marluxia’s entry, they discovered the Castle before that. In fact, its use, according to Secret Ansem Report 7, was for only 13 Organization Members. Naminé awoke in Castle Oblivion, but as she and Roxas were born at the same time, half of the Organization moved to the Castle.

The "according to" here, by the way, is only an implication that the Castle had more use than just experimentation on the Organization's memories (the Room of Awakening).

At the same time Roxas awoke in Twilight Town, Namine awoke in Castle Oblivion. Afterwards, the Organization discovered Namine. The organization thought of Namine's gift to manipulate memories as a way to resolve the actual circumstances surrounding each of their abilities and attributes. The memories of those who enter were used in the experiments on memories going on there. Above all else, the Organization's leader Xemnas was investigating the importance of memories. During these experiments, in order for these memories to be broken and then regenerated, those pods were made by the Organization. The pod Sora awoke from in Twilight Town and the pod in Castle Oblivion that Diz used in order to escape from the Organization's pursuit are the same thing. Also, there is an additional scene where Xigbar talks about the "true goal of Castle Oblivion" and when this particular scene appears, I think all mystery surrounding castle Oblivion should become clear.

It consists of 13 floors above and 12 floors below ground, with the contents of its “White Rooms” transforming in response to its visitors' memories. Organization XIII was conducting experiments on memory here.

The subject in these experiments, a girl named Naminé, appeared to possess extremely unusual abilities.
