I've been thinking about this whole
Xemnas knows Aqua thing.

You know how Terra kinda looks like Xehanort a bit?
Or a lot?

I think I've came up with a theroy.

Terra probably was Xehanort.
Because it is mentioned that Xehanort had no memories when he was found by Ansem the Wise in Hollow Bastion.
Maybe Master Xehanort kind of... made Terra go crazy into believing that he is him.
Like possessed.

Nobodies regain their memories back when their heartless is destroyed, right?

So maybe Aqua discovered Xemnas after his heartless was destroyed and thats how he remembered him.

Okay. Let me make this easier. It sounded so much better in my brain. XD

-Terra, Aqua and Ven fought the keyblade war.
-Terra looks like Xehanort. (not to mention, his eyes fade to an orange/goldish color in the preview scene. Huh? Yeah.)
-Maybe Terra went insane, after beating the crap out of Master Xehanort.
-Xehanort possessed Terra's mind.
-Terra arrives at Hollow Bastion, but the only thing he remembers is the name Xehanort.
-Ansem the Wise finds Terra, but Terra claims to be Xehanort.
-After Xehanorts heartless is defeated, He remembers everything about his past.
-Hense him knowing Aqua.

My only concern with this theory about all others that basically state Terra = Xehanort is his hair. How does one's hair turn change in color within less than a year?

All nobodies have their somebodies' memories (with a few exceptions), so far it hasn't been said you need to have your heartless destroyed to get them.

I think it was stated somewhere in Ansem's journals or on the KHwiki.

Roxas was a special case. When Sora was restored by Kairi, the flow of memories was reversed and Sora pretty much forced his memories back from Roxas.

No, the actual reason was he wasn't a heartless for a longer amount of time. That's why Roxas lacked memories of his previous life
