Yeah, like Riku. He thinked that the answer to all was darkness, like clearing his ambition to get to other worlds. Pherhaps Terra's ambition with darkness is to stop MX with it, just a thought on it.

Or pherhaps someone whom intentions were thought to be negative and caused a trouble in trust with his friends.

Yeah. Hes trying to use the power of darkness to stop MX, becuase darkness is the only thing strong enough.

....but they still want to, which could maybe seen in how aqua denies maleficent's claim that terra succumbs to darkness for power.

Yeah, his heart was indeed strong but it was make by darkness, considering the thing that Triton said to Sora "The keyblade wilder brought hope and chaos to the worlds.", meaning that who ever has the strongest heart to give hope or chaos, it goes with him/her.

maybe not "made" for darkness per se, but just better suited to bring out its full potential through darkness.

I think Terra is just power-hungry.

Like Light Yagami. At first he has good intentions..then BAM! Next thing you know he using darkness freely, screws up, and something bad happens.

Then he just goes into denial, feels bad about what he's done, and then tries to fix everything.
