Yoko Shimomura with a touch of Kaoru Wada is priceless.
Sooo, they're going back.

While I would prefer to have Hikaru, she can be replaced.

Utada should sing the theme songs and Yoko should compose the rest of the music like it has always been. I love the KH music and I want it to have the same quality (or even better) in future games.

Anyone who would rather have Utada back then Shimomura should shoot themselves. Utada did what, 2/3 songs for each game, all of them being variations of the same track?

While the music she composed were the "main themes" and thusly, admittedly quite important, Shimomura (and Wada)'s contributions to the game are equally important (well, IMO, moreso). You know that melody from the title screen everyone loves and has become synonimous with KH, "Dearly Beloved"? She composed it. The music from "Deep Dive", which is another fan favorite and the reccurring motif for all the Organization related tracks? That was her work too. She composed every single track asides from the ones Utada did. Kingdom Hearts wouldn't be the same without her music; Utada is by no means bad, but I feel she could be replaced with someone little worse, or if not just as or more talented than she is.

This is all IMO, of course. :v

The thing is that Utada and Shimomura give different feels to the games. While I love everything Yoko Shimomura has composed (in fact, she's usurped Nobuo Uematsu's position of being my favorite composer), Utada freshens it up with her own style.

While Shimomura's songs and themes have been prevalent throughout the game, S&C/Hikari and Sanctuary/Passion have also made a strong impression on the games, too. I personally feel that KH wouldn't have the same feel if Shimomura had composed the opening themes because she has a very orchestral feel, while Utada has a very individual style that can't be imitated at all. I personally feel that's why she was chosen to compose the vocal themes.

This just proves how strongly I feel about it >.>

Kingdom Hearts wouldn't be the same without Yoko Shimomura as well as Utada Hikaru (though she is more easy to replace). However, I feel that Utada is a great songwriter and nailed the lyrics for the songs, especially for 'Sanctuary'. Yoko is an amazing composer and I'm pretty sure she'll stick around. I have no worries about that.

I think the both should stay. If they didn't, it would almost feel as if they were breaking some kind of tradition, but that's just my personal opinion.

No reason to change them. Both had success in the the 2 games. This shouldn't even be worth discussing.
