Going back to "Souls" again...

Yes, I have another theory for your dis-proving pleasure. :3

As most of you should know, the concept of souls haven't really been explained in the KH universe, as of yet. The only times we ever hear this word mentioned is when referring to the nobodies, who are comprised of the soul and body. It's assumed, then, that the soul is what "gives life". Without a soul, a body couldn't live on. This is at least what most have come to understand.

Now, many people believe that when the soul leaves the body in the KH universe, that this is considered a normal, everyday death. And I agree with this. A soul leaving a body could be considered "going to the afterlife" (and the Underworld would fit perfectly with this concept).

I'm guessing that the soul leaves the body when the body itself has ceased to function properly. Disease, accidents, the normal riff-raff of life and death. A normal death, unlike the special cases of Heartless and Nobodies.

But what if the soul was forced out of the body when the body still functioned perfectly? There'd be no reason for the soul to leave when the person in question was as healthy as a horse.

I'm sure you can see where this is going. Feel free to exit the window if you wish, or state your opinions on the matter. Either way, I'd love to hear from you all. You're opinions are worth my time, believe me.

Continuing. If you haven't figured it out, I'm suggesting that Unbirths are the result of a soul wandering from it's body.

Think about the name, too. Souls are suppsed to be in the body. If not there, then the afterlife, surely. But if a soul has nowhere to go, due to the fact that their bodies aren't dead and they themselves have no body to reside in, what happens to them?

Unbirth. The soul isn't in a body, so it isn't "alive" per say, or "keeping something alive", but at the same time it isn't "dead" either. It's not in the afterlife..

It's almost like it was never "born" into a body to begin with. A wandering soul that was never born.

That's just one idea. I don't have much confidence in this theory, yet all the same, I want your opinions.

*EDIT*: I'd like to point out that the souls that are floating around in the Underworld...I don't consider these as Unbirths. They're in the Underworld already.

Sounds a lot like my Unbirth = Dreams theory, only without specifying what the Soul did outside the Body (being the Dream~).
Needless to say then I support this xD This could actually also help to explain Kairi in KH1 in a way, especially if we keep in mind that Nobodies function just fine (well, relatively speaking) without their Hearts, and they too are made up of just a Body and a Soul - just like Kairi was in KH1.
Makes me wonder if nothing else left her when the Islands disappeared too...

It's ok xD;;; I'm not mad or anything. More so than similarities, in a way, my theory answers some of the questions your raises, such as the way in which the Soul is separated without causing Death.

Since Kairi's a POH, she could be pretty unpredictable..

Why would the soul leaves the body on it's own accord?
If the person hadn't died, or was healthy, or what have you, there would be no reason why the soul would leave.
And how does this explain why they, the Unbirths, are no longer around? I'd assume if the soul really could just leave on its own accord, it could continue to do so even after BBS.

Only the Body remains functioning, which is to differentiate from death.

And RK, if we wanna go there and use Aurora as an example, I think the Soul or a part of it is what makes the Unbirth. And then if you say it's only a Piece, that would explain not dying, at least not immediately.

That's Nobodies. We don't know what happens to Unbirths at the moment
