Well if the entire soul leaves the body, no matter in what way, life gives away to death. That's very clear...

Wow someone else thought of the soul thing too.
I noticed that souls arent apart of the kh world as much as they should be.
And its one of the three elements ansem said made up a human.
I think if you look at stuff an unbirth is just a negative birth.
So in other words your soul is the unbirth.
I like this thoery.

Well, in a way it makes sense, but I thought the Unbirths were meant to be a sort of ancestor of the Heartless.

This makes me think that Unbirths may have more to do with the Heart than the Soul. If the Keyblade has been around long enough to be legendary, but the Heartless and Nobodies are fairly recent then the Keyblade must have been used to defend the Hearts of the Worlds and Kingdom Hearts from something. That something is the Unbirths, right? Or is at least very likely the Unbirths. And the Unbirths dissapear close to the time the Heartless appear, there may be a connection there.

I think that Souls may figure more promeniently in KH 3 you know when it's Sora's problem again.

In my opinion i think unbirths have more to do with the soul, but i think that because we have seen the heartless and the nobodies. So it seems like it would be the 3rd part to a being

Well, you can't say that just because there were Keyblades it's dealing necesarilly with the Hearts. They lock things, who's to say they didn't keep the Worlds from losing their Souls?
Also, Unbirths are the ancestors of both Heartless and Nobody, making for Unbirths to possibly be any one of the three parts of the Being.

Meaning Unbirth's disappeared sometime around BBS.

I basically meant someone forcing another's soul out of their body prematurely; before their time.

The body, I suppose, would stop functioning due to the absence of a soul. Like a zombie. Like Aurora, I guess. Difference being it's in perfect condition and could still live, had it not been for the missing soul.

The soul, having no where to go (it can't go to the afterlife because it isn't supposed to yet) malforms into an Unbirth.

This is just a theory, though.

As to why they're now extinct, I'm not sure. As I've said, it's just an idea.

Without a soul, the body and heart would die no matter how the soul was extracted. They wouldnt turn into a Zombie.
Aurora could just be sleeping, or her heart could be taken for all we know.

That's just what we think, anyway.

What's to say that removing a soul in a special way wouldn't result in something different?

I'm not saying your wrong. I'm just saying there's still that possibility.

Even then, it's the soul that turns into the Unbirth (in theory). The body is almost irrevelent.

The fact that the series is called Kingdom Hearts?

Well according to the events of KH I the Keyblade chooses its master/weilder/whatever you want to call them based on the strength of the person's heart, or they can be transfered to a new wielder as slong as the new weilder has an acceptable heart.

One one the main funtions of the Keyblade is to lock (or unlock) the door that lead to the Hearts of the Worlds. So the Keyblade seems primarily concerned with hearts.

If you had said unbirths were created when the soul does NOT stay with the body when a heartless is created then I would probably agree with your theory. A nobody is born when a heartless is made. It's the left over parts of the Body & soul. But what about when the soul doesn't stick with the body what's created then. That would be pretty interesting. Or maybe if something happened to the memories and formed another creature, but that lacks a lot stability. The on I'm going most with is they are created from some sort of sleep, maybe when the body falls asleep and the soul wanders if that's the case I can agree with it.
