I guess you're right about writers having problems with that. And yeah I knew about Roxas but Naminé is like extra extra special. I mean she doesn't even have an X in her name

And Axel came round in the end. I personally think Xenmas punches it into their heads that they can't have emotion, but in true Wizard of Oz style they don't need to be someone to still have feelings, like Axel proved, probably through missing Roxas and seeing Sora.

You don't need to have an X in your name to be a Nobody.... That's only for the Organization.
And Nami is barely even a Nobody.

Axel was looking for his replacement for a Heart, so I don't think that counts. As for having it hammered into their heads, the Nobodies themselves feel their Heart's missing; that's why they even join the Organization and work so hard to get Kingdom Hearts. They don't need Xemnas to come and tell them that, or alternatively - he only needs say it once; they know it's true.

That actually sounds like a possible reason to me. I mean I know it's meant to be pronounced "Over 2", but that could also mean divided by 2. So maybe it means a year in the life of Sora's other half? Anyway, that's one theory I guess.

I think that had that been the reason, Nomura wouldn't have creepily promised us to only understand the title once we finished the game.

I think Xemnas does have to remind them they don't have hearts. In a scene from KH FM+ he chastises Xigbar, Luxord, and Demyx for behaving like they have hearts, and Yen Sid says they can even fool themselves into believing they still have hearts. So apparently they can forget every now and then.

EDIT: It's possibly dagerous if they forget they're Nobodies and fade faster. It might be important that they always remember they are Nobodies so that they don't succumb to the darkness.
