-INTRODUCTION-

I know what you are all think "Here's R-K again whoring out his series" while that is technically true, at the same time it isn't. =]
I was asked to make this thread by my fellow KHI staff members (due in part that all of my 'Everything We Know' threads are being used on the actual KHI website now for the games pages and what not.) So they asked me to make this one aswell, and, who am I to disagree? =]

Oh, again, I should point out that this is not the ? Thread either (sheesh I wonder what it could be? XD). But I think I should probably run the drill again as to what these threads are for =]

I made this thread to help new members, as well as old, touch up on the facts about what we know concerning the Unbirths. I was tired of seeing so many people clueless about the three games so I made the 358 thread, the BBS thread, and the Coded thread - and now, I'm bringing you a thread all about our favourite mystery Enemies for the same reasons. I hope many members find something of value in this thread, and if not, I hope you all can at least appreciate the work that I have put in for your - the members' - benefit. So, enjoy! ^__________________^

-GENERAL-

When Birth By Sleep was first revealed at TGS 2007, many were surprised to see something new - a new enemy. Not much information was given about these previously unnamed enemies, except for that fact that they were not Nobodies or Heartless (due to them not existing during BBS time).

Slowly details began to peal away, and we learned that these new creatures were some sort of "groundwork" for what would later become the Heartless/Nobodies, and that Nomura said that they were to be imagined of a sort of "starting point". He also went on to say that these new enemies were very fast and agile and there was something of a "wild concept" to them.

For whatever reasons, these new enemies do not exist after Birth By Sleep, and the reasons to why that is are said to be answered within the game.

-NAME-

At the DKΣ3713 Party in August, the previously unnamed new enemies were finally titled during the BBS Gameplay Demo. In a scene in the demo, Terra remarks that the new enemies must have been the "unbirths" that Master had told him about. After nearly a year long wait, the enemies names had finally been revealed, but what exactly their names mean is yet another mystery of BBS.

-APPEARANCE-

(Note, above is an artist rendition of the Unbirths)

The Unbirths appearance ranges from the different species but of them seems to be in a palette of different shades of blues, and all of them share one common feature - blood red eyes. Currently we have only seen two types of Unbirths (the two pictured above) but, like the Heartless and Nobodies, there are believed to be a lot more types.

Nomura has said that the Unbirths on the left (emblem-less) is to be considered on the same level as Shadow Heartless and Dusks, it is believed that he means they are the weakest and most common form of Unbirths, just like the Shadows and Dusks are for Heartless and Nobodies respectfully.

-SYMBOL-

A few Unbirths we have seen so far have a new logo/emblem on them (seen above). This emblem is obviously believed to be the emblem of the Unbirths and many have speculated that since some have them and some don't that they are artficial, much like the Heartless, however confirmation on this is nonexistent.

ヴェン「救う？当たり前だろ、友だちだからな」
Ven: Rescued? It was the natural thing to do, because we're friends.

テラ「そうだな。」
Terra: Right

そういって笑いかけるヴェン。テラが岩から飛び降りる、テラがヴェンの肩に手を置く。
Saying as much, Ven begins to laugh. Terra jumps down from a rock, and places a hand upon Ven's shoulder.

テラ「ありがとう、ヴェン」
Terra: Thanks, Ven

Terra confronts the old man from the KH2FM＋ secret movie at the wasteland.

ゼアノート「お前ならば　辿り着くと信じていた――」
Xehanort: I believed you'd find your way by now――

ゼアノート「光と闇の壁を越え、私の元へ」
Xehanort: Cross the wall between the light and darkness, to me

ゼアノート「待ちわびたぞ、テラ」
Xehanort: I'm tired of waiting for you, Terra

老人は嬉しそうに手を広げる。逆にテラは険しい表情。
The old man offers out his hand. Oppositely, Terra makes a grim face.

テラ「…俺には『友』がいる」
Terra: …I have a "friend"

テラ「答えろゼアノート、あいつの心に何をした！！」
Terra: Answer me, Xehanort. What have you done to his heart?!

テラが右手にキーブレードを呼び出す。
Terra summons a keyblade into his right hand.

既存ゼアノートはヴェンとオリンポスコロシアムで出会う。
An encounter between Xehanort and Ven at Olympus Coliseum.

ゼアノート「Ohisashiburi」*
Xehanort: Long time no see.

ヴェン「誰だ？　あんたに会ったことなんか…」
Ven: Who are you? 　As for having met you…

ゼアノート「そうだ、お前は失っている。」
Xehanort: Seems that you're losing it.

ゼアノート「しかしそれは永遠の喪失ではない　手に入れるために失ったのだ！」
Xehanort: However, you haven't lost it permanently. In order to obtain it, give up.

ゼアノート「今こそ全てを取り戻し、真実を掴み取るのだ！」
Xehanort: Now recover everything, and discover the truth!

老人が手で魔法？を発動、ヴェンは混乱と恐怖に陥ったような表情。
The old man releases magic from his hands, Ven's expression becomes confused and fearful.

In between these cutscenes they show the footage of playing the game as Terra. (Battling against the Unbirths)

Destiny Island

Terra stares onward at two boys sword fighting near a grove of trees. (Perhaps it is Sora and Riku)

（周囲にはテラとその二人しかいない）
(Only Terra and and the two boys are around.)

その後、舞台は再び荒野に。
Afterwards, the scene changes again to the wasteland.

ヴェンと、黒いヘルメットと鎧に身を包んだ人物（KH2FM＋のシークレットに登場した人物）
Ven and the character wearing a black helmet and armor (The person who appeared in the secret of KH2FM +) are there.

謎の人物に吹っ飛ばされるヴェン。
The mysterious character throws back Ven.

ゼアノート（声だけ）「闇に染まってしまった者に、キーブレードを扱う資格はない」
Xehanort (Voice only): Those that submit to darkness are not qualified to wield the keyblade.

ヴェンが顔を上げると筋肉スーツが迫ってくる。
When Ven lifts his face, the suited man approaches.

今までとは一変し、何かを訴えかけるような表情の老人。
Now the old man's face changes completely into an expression of yearning.

倒れたヴェンを抱えるテラと、ゼアノートが対峙する。
Xehanort faces Terra, who carries the collapsed Ven in his arms.

ゼアノート「奴はもう、闇にそまった魔物だ」
Xehanort: Already, that man is a monster infused with darkness.

ゼアノート「で闇を討ち、わが過ちを正してくれ！」
Xehanort: Defeat the darkness and correct my mistake!

レイディアントガーデンのような岩場
In a rocky place like Radiant Gardens

テラ「マスターだろうと関係ない。この力、友のために使う！！」
Terra: I don't care about being master. This power, I use for my friends!!

Thunder is being cast at Mickey, he avoids it twice, but then loses his balance and takes a direct hit.

側で見ていたドナルドとグーフィーはおもわず目を覆う。
Goofy covers his eyes and Donald looks worried.

ミッキーが再び体勢を直す。
Mickey summons the Starseeker again.

満足そうな気な顔をするイェンシッド。
Yen Sid appears satisfied.

The Forest from Sleeping Beauty

「眠りの森の美女」のイバラに覆われた城をながめるマレフィセント(肩にはカラス)
Maleficent stares in the direction of the thorn covered castle at the forest from Sleeping Beauty, her crow sitting upon her shoulder.

マレフィセントの後ろにはテラが
Terra is standing behind Maleficent .

マレフィセントと目が合い、怪しく笑うテラ
Their eyes meet, and Terra laughs strangely.

シンデレラに気づく。

You can choose Terra and play in the Enchanted Kingdom or
choose Ven and play in Castle of Dreams.

Terra in Enchanted Kindom
Terra: "Is it the unbirths Master spoke of..."
Defeat the unbirths, move across a bridge, toward the castle.
Fight a boss called the Wheel Master and his demo ends.

Ventus in the Castle of Dreams
(Ven is smaller, similar sized to the mouse.)

Mouse: "It's the king of the castle."
Mouse: "All the daughters of the country are invited to the ball being held tonight."
Ven: "Does Cinderella get to go too?"
Mouse: "Well..."
Mouse: "Madame Tremain is wicked, she said without a dress, Cinderella couldn't go."
Ven: "It's that guy that called upon Cinderella a while ago."
Mouse: "Right, it's Cinderella's dream to go to the ball."
Mouse: "Everyday, she has to do the cleaning and the laundry, it's like another world to her."
Ven: "I know the feeling."
Ven: "Alright! Let's help make her dream come true!"
Mouse: "How will we do that?"
Ven: "We'll make a dress!"
Ven: "We'll look for the materials inside the house and tailor one for her."
Mouse: "Good idea!"
Mouse: "Well then, there is some white ribbon, pink thread, and white lace in the lower dressing room.Any of it will be good, so look for at least two."
Mouse: "I'll sew the dress right here."

Mouse: "Ven! Keep an eye out for Lucifer!"
Ven: "Lucifer?"
Mouse: "He's a ferocious cat!"
Mouse: "Take very soft steps around him."
Ven: "I got it, be careful."

After finding two among the white ribbon, pink thread, and white lace, there is a boss fight with Lucifer.

Shot Lock
You can use this special attack by pushing the circle button while holding down the R button.
Terra's is called a "photon charge" and Ven's is called "star burst".
The button advances like this: Fighting > Blitz > Burst > Finish.

Whoa, finally a clear shot of the Unbirth's Symbol! ^ ^ And I knew that the left side Unbirth is the weakest, just like the Shadow and the Dusk, though the name of those two Unbirths has yet to be revealed and brings more mystery to BBS. R-K, you deserve a kudos, brother! ^ ^

So they really are called the Unbirths then? Interesting. I like it; it runs with the theme of names like "Heartless" and "Nobody".

When Terra says, "Are these the Unbirths Master spoke of?" that would imply that he's never seen them before. Yet he seems to be an experienced Keyblade wielder. If these creatures are a "starting point" for the Heartless, and they're new to Terra, perhaps they really are experiments created by MX, which ceased to exist after he died. Then, the Xehanort we know stumbled on to sketches of the old enemy, and borrowed that concept to create the artificial Heartless.

I have to say that finally enemies that actually look evil.
I mean, the Heartless had that goofy grin when you could see their expression, same with the Nobodies. Those actually look mean XD
