What do you think of the guy in it? Looks pretty evil, right? He is there to protect the world in fact.
What I mean is that we cannot judge on the secret ending alone. For all what we know, VAT could have made explode MX base with all his assistant in, and MX looks sadistic because he takes his revenge. Unlikely sample, but you see my point.

Another sample, if someone killed the girl I love, that I find this person and can beat him, I'd be the most sadistic possible and would have evil smile in making him suffer. Was just a sample, but without knowing he'd have killed the girl I love and seeing me do, you'd think I'm evil, right? While if you know what he did, you'd just think I'm in pain and seek revenge.

About his case, it's very ambiguous, because

[spoiler]At the end, after he is defeated he re gain his pride
as SOLDIER, and the last word he says in game means he wants
to defend the planet. In the Crisis Core Ultimania, the creators
of the game reveal that at the end of DoC, Genesis returns in
order to protect the planet, without this information we could
think he comes to destroy it : it's maybe the same for MX.[/spoiler]

As for Mickey, we don't know. He could be mistaking, for what we know, both him and MX could have the same purpose but think each other is having the wrong way.

Well with the MX not evil or evil debate there can't really be a solid definition towards "evil".
Immoral does though, he could be going for a goal that is good for himself but doing it immorally, same case goes for Xemnas.

Evil is the way you see it, it's too early to know his main objective at this point so we can't really say what his goal is to be immoral or moral. But there are bound to be people that think he's doing the right thing supporting him in fact, while others oppose his cause.

Exactly. Evil always depends of viewpoint... In all case because we'll play as VAT, most likely we'll see them as the good one, even though MX could be as "good" as them.

Also, I agree, viewpoint, because you could say Org. XIII isnt evil cause their intentions were simply to regain their hearts, and thats a good reason, I suppose.... I agree its all about opinions/viewpoints.... In my opinion there are ways to go about things without doing evil things, like, I dunno, tossing people off cliffs...

Don't worry, I am not really defending his case... Not yet, but I feel he has something of more than classic bad guy. I made a thread months ago for trying to say that maybe, MX wasn't evil... But I agree, debating on this now that we know near of nothing is maybe pointless.
I am pretty sure I'll have many occasion to do so after the game will be released though.
