Seeing how KH1 was when Mickey received the IKK by going to the Realm of Darkness, I think it's more likely to be seen more in Coded :O BBS might hint towards it though as that's when he first received a Keyblade, me thinks

But it has a chain so officially it's a keyblade (yes conjecture).

I don't want to make a theory fight so I'm just gonna wait for more information before assuming anything about the keyblades.

Yea I can't wait to find more about Mickey and his role on the story and about the whole IKK situation.
Btw really scince Riku isn't really that evil anmore I could see him using the KeyBlade if it ever came to that.
I think it's about your motives seeing as Riku cast away that Darkness in KH2 I don't see why he couldn't use the KeyBlade now. And really I think it was because Ven played a part with Sora that he was second up to get the KeyBlade. But really Terra looked at both Riku and Sora so maybe Sora could have been second choice/second best choice. I dunno we'll have to wait and see/get more info.

I get the impressions that the IKK isn't a Keyblade that chooses anyone.
And I don't think it could have been assigned to Sora, for he is a denizen of the Light Realm. I don't think of Riku got the KK, then Sora would get the IKK because they are in the light realm. If one of them happened to live in the dark realm, then perhaps it would have chose them, but I don't think it would chose someone from the light realm to be it's Master. It seems to specifically stay in the Dark Realm. Whether or not Mickey just went in there and picked it up has yet to been seen, but there's the chance that upon entering the realm, then the Keyblade chose someone as it's Master.
But i'm really just speculating because we don't know a whole lot about it, all we know is that Mickey knew he had to go into the Dark Realm to get it, and that he needed it to close the door. Coded should go more in depth seeing as how it's supposed to talk about Mickey's absence in the dark realm... guess we'll see =/

Mickey found the Inverse Kingdom Key in the Dark Realm. Hence why he left the castle in a rush to get it. In order to close the Door to Darkness, he and Sora had to use both their Keyblades. I also see where you're going with The Inverse Kingdom Key theory. Like Yuffie said in KH1, "The Keyblade chooses its master, and it chose you." Maybe the Inverse Kingdom Key doesn't choose its own weilder, but only someone powerful enough to weild it can.

What you think is right, is actually wrong; and that is a big mistake.

You're basing that around "The Gathering" which is not canon. It was a concept video, which went out of the window once the BBS trailer came out.

Having a Keyblade from the dark realm does NOT mean dark powers/evil.

And Sora got Riku's Keyblade because Riku's heart was weakened by darkness...also, he wasn't there.

IKK had no chosen wielder. It was sitting in the darkness.

WRONG! Soul Eater turned into Way to Dawn. His ability to wield was never gone. Also, the place a Keyblade represents doesn't mean it's alignment. The Keyblade Mickey got was a dark Keyblade, yet....

Riku rejected light and dark and walked the path of twilight. This happened in CoM. His SE turned into WtD towards the end of KH2. Not only that, there are no "inbetween Keyblades"

a Sora decided not to travel into the darkness causing a switch.

Or because Sora's heart was stronger than Riku's?
