I doubt BBS will go that far. Xehanort's experiments and studies that lead to the mutiny and the apprentices becoming heartless all happen way after VAT's time.

Square really hasn't nailed the proper difficulty yet. KH2 Proud mode is too easy, and Critical is ridiculously hard from what I hear.
