Rep Power: 7 ![]() ![]() ![]() | As most of you already know, Ven, Terra, and Aqua's keyblades do not have a keychain. This has been the fuel for many debates, even to the point of some people saying they don't exist. However just because they don't have a keychain attached, does that rule out the ability to have a keychain? In my opinion, no. ![]() In the picture above, i have circled an obvious hole in the handle of the Keyblade. (It is Lingering Sentiment's keyblade, but I believe that has been confirmed to be the same as Terra's) I do not feel it is a trick of light, due to how perfectly circular it is as well as the fact it is perfectly centered. I feel that hole could possibly be where a keychain could be attached. So what I'm pretty much saying is, their keyblades do not have keychains but do have the potential to attach one. Now for some rambling. Many people view the Kingdom Key and the Inverse Kingdom Key as the most basic form of the keyblades. However, they do have a keychain attached to them, making me believe it isn't their basic form. If that keychain were to be removed perhaps we would see its true form? Perhaps VAT's keyblades are simply at their most basic level. Maybe even the KK or the IKK would be more similar to them if their keychains were to be taken off. ~shrugs~ Discuss? |

Rep Power: 2 ![]() | makes enough sense to be true. But if all three of the keyblades (ven terras and aquas) do not have keychains then.. does that mean that there is more then one basic form? Oh and btw. not to sound dumb or anything but what is "IKK" |

| Crimson Colored Song of Destruction | Welp... It does has a hole... lulz Neh, I would think that they are the most basic blades, but of each realm ie Aqua's=Darkness, Terra's=Light, Ven's=Twilight But still, I also think they don't hold the same properties as teh KK, due to one screenshot I took of the BBS trailer... Aqua casts magic from her hand, not the actual keyblade. Which in turn, leads me to believe part of the growing process to be like the magic in FF games, it levels up. Good collaboration of thoughts though |

otherwise known as Kingdom Key (DarkSide) otherwise known as Mickey's Keyblade. Quote:
All of the magic used by Keyblades looks like that in the Secret ending. I just surmise we don't see it as such in KH2 due to technical reasons. | ||

| Put your Trust in Goofy! | I wonder if that'd make them something like the Soul Eater, seeing how it eventually transformed into the WtD and then it did have a Keychain. Personally, I always saw using Keychains freely to be something 'special' to Sora, either proof of his Masterhood (seeing how no one else used Keychains the way he did and I pray to God they wouldn't have left something this plot-relevant off for the sake of gameplay), or his own way to become a true Master. That raises the issue that - rather than them being the most basic of forms - they might actually be the very final form of those Keyblades, no longer needing support and empowerments from Keychains. The design dictated by all the Keyblades we're seen up until now (Sora's, Mickey's, and Riku's, as opposed to Keychain-Keyblades) has all the Keyblades already with a hoop attached, and that's where you attach the Keychains to. Terra's 'hole' seems more to be where once such a hoop was, rather than where one is to be attached, especially seeing how the hoop is part of the Keyblade, not the Keychain (more detailed designs show the Keychain's 'clip', marking where it ended - and it came on the hoop at the edge of the Keyblade). This being the ultimate for for his Keyblade could serve as one of many possible explanations as to why LS could use his Keyblade like a Transformer - it was the very strongest Keyblade for him and he had full control over it in any and all senses. |
