Noticed anything? Apparently, getting dangerously too close to darkness makes you lose your memory, made evident by Sora himself. If yellow eyes signifies as such, then perhaps darkness erased Xehanort's memory. *Looks at Terra's yellow eyes in FM+ and MX*

Another thing, I'm sure you're all familiar with the term 'Erased' in BBS. Well...

Xemnas: Students do take after their teachers. Only a fool would be your apprentice. After all, none of this would have happened without you. YOU are the source of all Heartless. It was your research that inspired me to go further than you ever dared.

This makes me believe that Ansem was responsible for the pureblooded heartless whilst Xehanort made the emblem heartless. That's not what I'm getting at, though.

DiZ: I admit... my disregard brought chaos to more worlds than one. But what were YOU seeking? You erased me from the world, only to take my name and continue research better left forgotten... Is this the answer you've been looking for?

The only thing Xemnas/Xehanort did to Ansem was that he thrown him in the Realm of Nothingness. Is that the same as being 'Erased,' per se? Is that what Ven's asking for -- technically, if you stay in nothingness too long, you won't exist.

I found other rather interesting stuff in the secret ansem reports, but I haven't put them into full-thought yet, so meh. *Goes off to Study*

Actually, that was when Sora became a heartless... Heartless do not hold on to the memories and they are instead passed onto the nobodies... Sora was in the prosess of loosing his memories when Kairi called out to him, pulling him from the darkness... Explains why Roxas had no memories of his past...

This makes me believe that Ansem was responsible for the pureblooded heartless whilst Xehanort made the emblem heartless. That's not what I'm getting at, though.

Not exactly... Like Xemnas said, Ansem's research inspired him to push further than Ansem, thus creating the heartless... Ansem was kinda motivation to the heartless' creation...

The only thing Xemnas/Xehanort did to Ansem was that he thrown him in the Realm of Nothingness. Is that the same as being 'Erased,' per se? Is that what Ven's asking for -- technically, if you stay in nothingness too long, you won't exist.

Maybe... When Ansem said that, I take it more along the lines that Xehanort removed Ansem from the world...

I think Ansem said erased as in banished, not as in Erased.
He says it differently than erased. =/

Yeah, I suppose you're correct. Okay, so let's say Xehanort experienced a somewhat similar process. He wasn't actually becoming a heartless, seeing as how they do not exist -- you'll just be a 'monster infused with darkness' in a similar process. If you choose to embrace the said darkness, you'll recieve 'superhuman' capabilities.

I thought it was that he would have been consumed by darkness.

Seriously one of my favs....When i was reading the earlier posts I had an idea of how Xehanort came to be, but in the never-ending Nothingness posts, LAWLZ to you guys for those btw, I lost it....But I DO remember reading that Terra wasn't a part of Xehanort, he was just Xehanort's apprentice. I could be wrong though

You are wrong.
Terra most likely is a part of Xehanort.
Terra is not Xehanort's apprentice.
Adn you don't get Terra's keyblade in FM+
