And I also doubt MX would choose himself as an apprentice. We know he has one. And it's assumed at this point to be DS, which is extremely probable.

I dont think any sigular character of the three (terra) will be more important than the others. that would make the choice between the three characters hardly a choice at all. i think that whatever goes on in the game, each of the three will play an equal part.
