BBS Trailer Details

I don't know how many people got past the stunning news of the trailer to actually watch and try to understand what the hell the whole thing was about. At first, all I did was check out the characters myself. After all, it is the first leaked trailer we have yet seen. But has anyone tried to guess on what happened?

To me, alot of th story seems to revolve around Ven and his heart. It seems that Master Xehanort has use of it, and is trying to steal it. To rescue Ven, Terra takes the power of darkness to recapture his heart. It is kind of explained by that scene in the Great Maw where Terra is holding Ven under his arm, speaking to Master Xehanort. Also, Nomura did say that Ven was a big central character and his identity was very important. Couuldn' this explain all of that?

Would love it if people could give some insight.

Yeah, I think MX was talking about Ven's heart when they met in Olympus Colisium.

I think the power that Terra mentions is the keyblade and there is something with Ven's heart or memories.

the main theme of the game is ven's identity...but what cunfused me is MX monologue bout those of darkness not being worthy to wield the keyblade...isnt he evil o_0

I agree. I was thinking of those lines too. Story wise BBS is the one I am most intrested in.

I thought Ven lost his memory... Hasnt he seen MX before? o_O

yeah, i wanna say that this part of the story could relate back to that "saying" that what we don't learn from out history, we're doomed to repeat... with sora being the center of whats happening now, ven serves somewhat the same purpose then. just in some kind of different form. both of them hold some type of key within themselves...

I'm playing FF3 right now, and they make an intriguing comment. They say in it, that Light and Dark are a balance. Too much darkness (or too much manipulation of Darkness) upsets the balance calling forth the warriors of Light. But This story calls back to an earlier one where Overuse of LIGHT called for the Warriors of Darkness to settle the balance.

Maybe in BBS a similar scenario is being played out. Sora is a warrior of Light, but VAT are warriors of Darkness?

Ven, like Roxas, is just a cruddy character Nomura believes is cool, so he tries and flesh the characters out accordingly (358/2 Days and now BbS)
Personally, I wish they didn't exist, I think the story would be more enjoyable.
I'd rather BBS be more about Terra and MX than Ven.
But these are just my thoughts on it.

As for getting a new trailer, odds are E3 will have one (or at least a higher quality version of the one that's already been leaked).
