I agree with Charge because they all have something to do with the elements. Terra is for earth, Aqua for water, and Ven for wind

Vens full name might be mentioned probably once or twice but i can believe through the whole game that Terra and Aqua will just call him Ven. I can see MX calling him by his full name

His name could be Ventury! Wow, what weird name I thought of... But his name doesn't have to start with a Ven, though. Leon is a perfect example of that. Maybe Ven didn't like his actual name like Leon does.

But there is a difference between Ven and Squall McEmobitch.

Ven is important. Besides, Ven's name means wind.

Ventus means wind.
