Default Oblivion and Oathkeeper ("Oh god, another theory")

In short, I think that these keyblades are representative of the past annf the future and or present. I think that Oblivion is meant to represent the past and its darkness and that Oathkeeper symbolizes the future and its light, and that the duel-wileding of these particular keyblades is meant to show the importance and harmony between these contrasting things... (Duh)....

If so, they're also symbolic of Riku and Kairi. I think you can guess which one represents whom.

Or they're you know...like symbolic. Considering that's what the scans said that they meant...

Or could you have even considered that the future could be bleak and the past was bright and shining? pfft, newbs. <_<

Or they could just be a pair of giant metal clubs that Sora has been known to swing around like a lunatic from time to time!

Seriously, all they symbolize is Sora's relationships with Kairi and Riku. Nothing much deeper than that.

I can see where you make the connection, but if you look into it deeper you'll disagree with your own theory.

especially on the oblivion part.

If you want I can go into more detail but I dont' really feel like it.

Err...right idea

But Oathy and Obli are just the memory of Riku and Kairi.
I've come to the conclusion that keychains = memories.

Yeah, that seems right.

You get Oblivion after fighting Riku, and you get Oathkeeper as a gift from Kairi.

So when Sora gets a keychain from each world it's like a memory of that world? Is that what you mean? If that's what you're thinking than I've never thought of that before.

^ Well, yea.
Each keychain represents an important memory. Not only worlds, but events as well. Like Axel's "sacrifice", the encounter with Seph/Cloud/Tif, Kairi's promise, Riku's betrayal, etc.

Anyone here ever read Narytaru/Shadow Star? I'm starting to think that the keyblades are like that.
But then, that would be a bit too complicated.

Maybe I should have been more clear.
Oblivion was supposed to symbolize Riku as to Oathkeeper and Kairi

This day can not get any better.

We Already Knew That When Sora Gained The OathKeeper It Was Because Of The Promice He Made With Kairi

Where As With Oblivion It Was When He Had Fought Evil Riku
