In Oblivion you have to increase several skill levels of your abilities, and each ability that is increased fills up the EXP gauge, until you increase particular number levels of abilities then you may level up. I think KH BBS level up system would not be far from this

Sorry if it's too long
Sort of like Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. Too complicated for younger viewers but okay to me I guess.

Ok, the Oblivion level up system was awful. You wanted to make sure that your class wasn't one that leveled up with doing normal things because the more you leveled up the harder every other character became. As was said, Oblivion < Morrowind. Bethesda is not going to make this mistake again, and I don't see why Square would adopt such a broken style.
God, what an awful game... I miss Diablo 2, good times

The fact that it may affect BBS or not doesn't mean they have to make it exact, since the growing thingy fits the oblivion level up system, that's what make me think like tht. You know it's not that hard for nomura to create easier system for teenagers and lil kids

I think such a system for abilities and Keyblades would be good.
Eg: you start of with "Guard Break" and it only lunges forward like 1 foot, then it keeps levelling up until it gets to five feet and more damage.

I believe that we shouldn't stray to far from the whole leveling system that's currently in use with the Kingdom Hearts series. Although Tetsuya Nomura did briefly mention a change, I doubt it'll change dramatically, to the point it's been completely redefined.

Also may I add, that this is a Disney and Square-Enix, not 2K Games, Bethesda Softworks and ZeniMax. So don't stray to far from originality. Lol.

The change will not be a dramatic or fully redefined one.

hmm... a growth system... nomura said it was original. i'm thinking it's something similar to final fantasy ii where you use an attack and it increases its power depending on how many times you use it. if you haven't used a certain skill not even once... it wouldn't develop.

I like the idea of growth being something that the player may be able to customize themselves. This however, is just my wishful thinking.

An ability or attack or magic which gets stronger the more it is used, like similar to weapon upgrading.

It's a good idea but it has some flaws.

Customization of abilities and stats.

i have oblivion and it is not that hard.if it is like oblivion it will probably have less things to choose from like.
strength
defence
more MP
better magic[fire,blizzard,thunder,ect,etc
more AP
more HP
plus i don't think that the armor thing would work because when you go up against the final boss your level may vary, but you might gain armor every time you beat a boss or world which i might add is not leveling up.
