Stop typing in all caps, unless you want to be flamed.

@Oblivion Master

In what way would a "fullfledged" KH game's controls be hard on a Wii? It's more easy to play the Wii than PS3.

I don't quite see what you mean that "the PS3 is receiving all the hype", considering the Wii is the fastest selling console of all time.
yeah square enix is on a roll with the DS, they just releashed the world ends with you in america and it is one of the best ds games ever, and they are making some kind of horror game for the ds too

It's easily one of the best games to be released on the DS.

I personally wouldn't care which console a new KH game were to come out on. I'd just wait for the game then buy the console (All I need now is a Wii, I own all the rest (Oh, wait, this makes me sound snobbish. Poor me))

Bah noo~ the Wii has terrible graphics and is more like Eye Toy XD you can't really play any games with story or something on it and espacially not RPGs.

And it would be sooo arduous to swing the Wiiremote around for hours D=

But on Monday, 25 September 2006;
Quote:
Square Enix senior VP Michihiro Sasaki told the Wall Street Journal today that his company is certainly going to support the PS3, but it isn’t going to overdo it. "We don't want the PlayStation 3 to be the overwhelming loser, so we want to support them," he said. "But we don't want them to be the overwhelming winner either, so we can't support them too much."
So I guess it's even playing ground for Square-Enix? But then that was in '06?

kh3 for the wii would be cool if you play it with the classic controller or for 360

Blarg. So many threads around here that bring up the same topix.

I don't know about you guys, but personally I'm sick of the "spin-offs" already. We're having three spin off games get completed before the team starts to tackle the next full length numerical installment... and you want moar? x.x Plz no. It'd end up being "Organization 13's Super Fun Party Game Collection!". No moar. We just need KH3 to end the series x.x

For me, I don't really mind either way if KH3 goes to Wii or PS3. 360 just seems too... I don't know... I can't see it happening. Honestly, PS3 needs KH3 and FF13 in order to really begin to compete with the Wii in terms of sales. I know personally those are the games I'm waiting for before dropping coin on the black box.

The Wii can have decent controls. I drew up a small control map in another one of these threads that I thought worked fine, but meh, I forget it all by now. Basically you can get away from the PS3 style of control, since it wouldn't be the same if KH3 went to the Wii.

Wii remote + nunchuk
Nunchuk is your analog stick to move around.
Z would target on enemies
C could switch targets quickly

B would be your new button mash friend, as it would function the same as X
control pad selects your menu options
+/- can open the menu, and pressing A can switch your control menu to a second screen. Tapping it again would bring it back to the main control menu.
Tapping left on the control pad is item shortcut, tap again to remove
Tapping right is magic shortcut, tap again to remove.
Drive forms/Reaction commands can respond directly with motion controls. Combinations of shaking the remotes could activate different forms. Bringing them sharply down to Valor, up for Wisdom, Shaking the nunchuk for master, shaking both for Final.

Complicated perhaps, but there you have the controls mapped to the nunchuk + wii remote.
If you want KH for the Wii so you can play it with a gamecube controller or classic controller... why bother? The wii would only be useful for its motion controls.... other than that it's the exact same as playing it on the PS3 or the 360... except it would be "cheaper".

Personally I think the PS3 would still be a favored option because of the length of the game they could theoretically create... since I believe that the games for the PS3 can be substantially longer and bigger than the Wii. Then again if they could make it like TP... go for the Wii.

KH doesn't have to be a graphical powerhouse like Final Fantasy does... if they made characters more realistic or whatever it wouldn't feel the same. Keeping the same graphics from KH2 and tightening them a little bit would be the best thing they should do with graphics. This would devote more space towards making fully explorable areas, which is what the series really needs. If on the PS3, i'd expect like no load times between areas, and none of the cut aways to a different area of the world. There would be no excuses if we still got black screens between areas .-.

Also, PS3's limited motion controls seem like they would work beautifully with the Gummi Ship system

Wii has PS2 type graphics. Hell, it can pump out better graphics than the PS2 could.
As for games with stories or RPGs, Twilight Princess did extremely well on the system... :\

As much as the day I dread this beautiful tale ends, I must agree with you. It's for the best that it does end in the next installment of Sora's journey.

Even though I'm totally down for Kingdom Hearts on PlayStation 3, the more I think about it, Wii is plausible.

Quoted for truth. I felt that one of the main issues was the world design, I wish they could've felt more "free" so to speak, and with such amazing consoles this generation, I hope they will deliver.

Do tell, since when is a consoles technical hardware had anything to do with a game's ability to have a story, or have functioning RPGs? I could have sworn that a game's story is entirely based on the Developer's ability to think of a great story, not what a console is capable of. Maybe I'm mistaken, but I believe that RPGs have existed since the 8-Bit generations, and some of the most moving RPGs to date were ones that looks like this:

http://www.planetemu.net/php/article...;20Trigger.png

Not to mention that fact that the Wii is more powerful than the Playstation 2, so by your logic, the Playstation 2 shouldn't have been capable of games with Story either? Maybe I missed the part where Final Fantasy X, XII, Kingdom Hearts, Star Ocean, Dark Cloud, Dragon Quest VIII, Skies of Arcadia, and Tales of Symphonia were on consoles weaker in technical specs than the Nintendo Wii is.

And terrible graphics?

The Wii is more than 2x more powerful than the Gamecube, and the Gamecube was noticeably more powerful than the Playstation 2. Ergo, the Wii has more than twice the power of the Playstation 2, and the Playstation 2 was capable of games that looked like this:

http://i25.tinypic.com/2s8pt8l.jpg

In the past Developers haven't done much to push the Wii's technical aspects, because the majority of Developers were still only developing PS2 games, which means that they usually just ported over the game engines from PS2 games to run on the Wii. However, just because Developers were lazy in the past doesn't write off the consoles actual capabilities, and developers are starting to devote time to building graphical engines specifically for the Wii that show what the console can do, like the High Voltage Engine:

The Force Unleashed:

And the latest Sonic multiplatform title is said to blur the line between the Wii and 360/PS3 versions:

They're the same instance, Gungon, what you quoted is what I was talking about, Square isn't going to over-support Sony like they have in the past, but that doesn't mean they're going to stop developing for it bar-none.

Square is already developing Final Fantasy XIII, vsXIII, and Star Ocean 4 for the PS3, I'd say that's about even support for the PS3...don't you think that throwing the next huge installment in the KH franchise on the PS3 as well constitutes "over-support"? Which is what Square wants to avoid?

True, it would be considered "in favor" of SONY. But then, why should Nintendo or Microsoft care? They are leading the sales in console sales, correct? But if that be, then I guess Square's not getting the most out of their sales to only keep to PlayStation 3? Uh, wow this is a headache.

I wouldn't mind a KH game on wii. I guess that I don't care, so long as my friend let's me use his wii.

But, yeah, a spinoff would probably be better for wii.
