KH's keychains and keyblades

This is my first post ever, so, please don't flame. Now, as for my topic....
Why do some keyblades have keychains and some don't? What does a keychain define? Real or fake?

What does Sora's keyblade look like without the keychain? If a keychain changes the look of the keyblade (like the Two Across keychain and the like) than surely it must be same for Sora's Kingdom Key.

No one knows.

That's one of the big questions about the FM+ Secret Ending.

What DO we know, then? Is this so mysterious that KH could branch out into a whole new dimension and say that the keyblade was created by Rainbow Brite in hopes of saving the plane of eternal ponies?

One would certainly hope not.

There's theories, the most popular of which is that keychain-less Keyblades were manufactured, and aren't as powerful.

Yes, they all seem as though they aren't real... Terra's being the most unreal looking, Aqua's and Ven's look more real though... but not real enough

Yeah, keychain-less keyblades look more powerful (Riku's Darkblade in kh1 and Terra's shapeshifting one) but theres probably something bad about using them, we'll find out in bbs.

the keyblade[like how sora in his dream in kh1 were he
used either a sword staff or a sheild and roxas dosent
count because sora is part of roxas and we knowthat
he already has the power to weild the keyblade] but it dosent make
any sense in some pics you could see terra
calling for his keyblade
like sora.

Yeah we know absolutely nothing about the chainless keyblades, there has only been one that we know about until now though, Riku's keyblade in KH1 (isn't it nicknamed the heartunlocker).

I don't know if anyone has brought this up I kinda just started looking at this thread...but the Ultima Weapons are manufactured and they have keychains...

Keyblades that lack Keychains are generally, although not factually, accepted as being less powerful as those that do have Keychains. It's be speculated that Keyblades lack Keychains until they have a wielder, but this does not make sense, because Ven, Aqua and Terra do not; but Master Xehanort and the Darkness Soldier do.
