Don't quote me on it.

But from what I remember [not much], Coded is a rehash of KHI's plot with some random gimmick to make it plausible.

Indeed it may not be very relation filled at all. I'm just saying, don't count Coded as unimportant until it's full story is revealed.

Kingdom Hearts coded is for mobile phones. It is an installment in the best-selling Kingdom Hearts series that focuses on King Mickey.

Coded is set after the events of Kingdom Hearts II. Jiminy Cricket returns to Disney Castle to organize the records in his journal. In his journal he finds a message that he did not write "We must return to free them from their torment." To investigate this message, King Mickey digitizes the contents of the journal, awakening a virtual Sora on Destiny Islands.

Confirmed characters include King Mickey, Pluto, Jiminy Cricket, a virtual Sora, Donald Duck, Goofy, and the Heartless. The virtual Sora is in the original Sora's attire from the first game because he is created from data from Jiminy's earlier journal entries. The characters referred to as "them" in the message left in Jiminy's journal refers to the main antagonists of the game, who have yet to be revealed.

Fair enough.

The fact that it's on a cell phone in addition to those points doesn't add to my hopes though.

You can hook up the PSP Slim to a TV.

And Coded really is important in KH. Yes you relive KH1 but in a "different view", unlike CoM where you just go into Sora's memories. It'll be an entirely new adventure that answers many questions and gives some insight into KH3 like the other two games. The only thing that pisses me off is that it's on a very advanced phone that I'll probably never afford.

Back on topic, I'd say 358/2 Days. I played Re:CoM already, BBS can be hooked up to a TV, and Coded's not as exciting.

The nice thing about Coded though is that it'll have an emulator sooner or later, so even us poor people can illegally download it.

I heard that it was a digital Sora going back to a digital world to digitally relive KHI's plot.

That doesn't sound very revelation-filled to me.

Touche.
Maybe SE is trying to re-do KH1 so it fits in with the overall Nobody/VAT/Xehanort plot...

That is a valid point.

CoM was never supposed to take place completely in Sora's memories, we knew it would have some present tense sections of plot also.

You still have to bear in mind that it is on a cell phone, a rather expensive one at that. It wouldn't make much sense to put an important piece of the plot in a game that few people are going to experience.

I say BBS but I think they should put it on the Wii or PS2 cuz I don't have a PS3. Probably would be 358/2 if they put it on the wii though.

Wow, you obviously missed a lot....

The bug that he's trying to defeat is causing things that didn't happen appear, but they did happen, in other places, so we find out what other characters were doing, and what the message means.

Nomura is designing 3-D models on 2-D backgrounds so that multiple "overseas" phones will be able to play it. Worldwide releases are his thing nowadays, apparently.
