Interviewer: What is the importance of story?
Nomura: For example, the name Xehanort is bought up in Kingdom Hearts 2. The game will answer several things like, "Why is the elderly person who appears in Birth by Sleep bringing up the same name?" and ,"Why is he wearing the same clothes as Ansem in the original Kingdom Hearts?" Another thing I want to bring up, is ,"Ven has the same hairstyle, face, clothes, and voice of Roxas, but just who is he?

Nomura refers to the new enemy as "the elderly person". In no way does he give him importance (name wise), and where he states that the elderly man brings up the name Xehanort... why would the elderly man bring up the name Xehanort if he WAS Xehanort? Thus i think he isnt.

off subject... I'd still love for ven to be connected to terra in some way. And one more thing, in the mega theatre trailor it was stated that terra thanks roxas for saving him. but he doesnt remember being saved? ven also asks a "friend" to erase him, and earlier is asked by the elderly man to give in, to recieve what he is looking for. (not exactily sure how it was worded). I say something happened to Terra and he lost his memory. And i say he recently met ven because he states "...now i have a "friend" " like ven is a reason to fight for.

if the old man is the new main enemy then he obviously controls the new enemys because ansem\xehanort's heartless controlled the heartless and xemnas controlled the nobodys

Friend? ... Wait a minute... Xemnas had a 'Friend' that he spoke to in the form of someone's armor in the room of sleep... Hmm... Probably overanalyzing this, but it's possible that Xehenort is Terra... and the 'friend' that Xemnas keeps speaking with is Ven O_o Not likely, just a thought...

That question was revealed because we already knew someone named Xehanort.

I think Nomura called him an elderly man in order to make a point. He is no doubt the 'Master Xehanort' that VAT is seeking.

When Master Xehanort was more or less patronizing and then threatening Ven, it gave me the impression that not only does Ven have memory issues, but maybe he's forgotten knowledge that Master Xehanort wants to know.

As for Terra and MX, it seems to me that MX was making Terra some sort of offer, maybe trying to take him on as an apprentice but Terra was reluctant? And to thwart MX, Terra rambles about how he has a friend, wants to fight for his friends, etc.

Btw, I think you meant he thanked Ven, not Roxas. Between Ven and Terra, it seems to me like they're friendship has strange conditions. Maybe Terra asked Ven if he remembered because of Ven's memory issues, not for his own sake. Or maybe they both have memory problems, that'd make things confusing...

Anyways, you have some good ideas!

that would make sense. Xemnas would have memories of Terra, if he really is Xehanort. And Ven was Terra's friend, so that would make sense, Xemnas making reference to the armor as "friend". Plus i'd like for that armor to be Ven instead of Aqua anyways. Aqua being referred as friend, would be that "wow!" to me if it does play out that way.

Sorry for a double post, to your one question, i found this in Nomura's Interviews. To bittermeat, thank you, i like your idea too a lot. And to Gildragon, i meant connected on a higher level. Nomura stated "If you understand the relation of who Roxas is to Sora, you'll understand who Ven is." That made me think it would be cool for Ven to be a reminent of Terra. Ven once saved Terra, and Terra doesnt remember anything of it.

that would be cool if thats tue. especially if he is the xehanort we know from KH2. bad memory and all that.

Nomura stated "If you understand the relation of who Roxas is to Sora, you'll understand who Ven is." . . . . . . What does that mean, Sora didn't even know of Roxas's existence until he realized at The World That Never Was that he did turn into a heartless, and he really didn't seem to care about that fact of Roxas's existence, maybe a little sad that Nobodies never really have hearts, but other than that I get the feeling that Sora never really had much emotion concerning Roxas.

The trailer was never released to the public, well as to my knowledge. Anyway, all of this info has been common since September, and priviledge info in August [This applies to me]
