The new games

I know there are 3 new kingdom hearts games comming out but they are not really on Sora or the story. So I was wondering if these are conecting storys and there will be A KHIII on something like the PS3?

well there will be a kh3, im not sure if all the storys with connect in any way. i would think that kh3 will be on the ps3?

well i believe they will connect some way well all because of how their names connect

connections are constantly being shown in the games so their bound to be... well hopefully they are

and also 358/2 days is about roxas' story during kh2 so its connected

also kh3 on the ps3 sounds much more likely

Well if you take a lil look at my sig, that'll give you a general outline on the order of the games, storyline wise.

Birth By Sleep [Sony PSP]
The game set ten years previously to the original titles. This involves new characters who somehow tie in with Sora, Riku, Kairi, Xehanort etc.. Some big revelations here, for example, we may learn of where Xehanort truly came from, and what his intentions were.

Kingdom Hearts [Sony PS2]
The original Kingdom Hearts, telling the story of Sora. This involves Xehanort's Heartless mainly.

Chain of Memories [Nintendo GBA]
Set between the first two Kingdom Hearts games, and about Sora trying to regain his memories. Turns out Castle Oblivion may have served other purposes (as seen in a video from Final Mix+).

358/2 Days [Nintendo DS]
This revolves around Roxas and Organization XIII, during the time period from when Roxas is "born" (around the time of KH and CoM) and eventually to the point where he finds Sora. There is also the inclusion of an enigmatic XIVth member (who will undoubtedly tie in with Birth By Sleep and bring upon new plot elements).

Kingdom Hearts 2 [Sony PS2]
About Sora one year after KH, fighting against Organization XIII. Xehanort is a Nobody, and we learn a little of his past. In Final Mix + we learn that he spends a lot of time in a "Room of Sleep" with the armour of Birth By Sleep hero Aqua. Sora finally makes his way home to Destiny Islands, where he and the gang later find a letter.

Coded [Mobile Phone - Japan only?]
This is a semi-sequel to KH2, where we will learn what happened to other characters during the events of KH. Probably ties into the letter.

As a result, all contribute towards one final goal, and I think after these, we shall be prepared for the true Kingdom Hearts III. Remember though, Nomura has to finish Final Fantasy Versus XIII first, which could take some time. Be patient, play through the other titles, and by then I am sure we will have a lot to speculate.

Nomura said the point of these new games is to lead up to KH3. Each of these games will have some sort of connection to KH3 in their own way. Try to focus on the new games right now because KH3 won't be out for about 5 years.

This video has been spread around a bit lately. If you consider it though, it mentions a Room of Sleep.

“Sleep gives birth to the concealed fate in the far past”

I think we will learn a lot from 358/2 Days in terms of these rooms and Castle Oblivion. As for Birth By Sleep, I think it is the memories that will be re-awakened, and give us an insight into what has happened. I think this will take place in this Room of Sleep, soon before the events of 358/2 Days take place.

Ah, correct LlaveEspada 0, there's always Reverse Rebirth ^^.

Riku has his own tale that runs throughout KH, CoM and KH2. Naturally he ends up in Castle Oblivion with Mickey where he finds DiZ for the first time. This of course leads to him forming some sort of alliance, and also contributes towards his encounter with Roxas (which is covered in 358/2 Days, and may be part of the final battle). Unfortunately as the last of the darkness dies within him, he is forced to use it, and becomes what appears to be Xehanort's Heartless.

Speaking of Castle Oblivion, it turns out the experimentations on memory may have been performed in order to serve Xehanort. After all, he spends so much time in the Room of Sleep, but he was found with no memory after all. Perhaps when sleep failed to work, he wished to use Naminé instead to further his cause.

All of this does indeed build up to what we can only hope will be Kingdom Hearts III!

I think the XIVth member will have some connection with the past, and thus Birth By Sleep, but will also either remain unnamed, or disappear and return later in a future title. It could be like Xemnas in the original Final Mix, for example. A mysterious robed figure.

I'm not quite sure what you mean. I think she .. might have a full form in Birth By Sleep. There are many Aqua theories after all. I wouldn't be surprised. I mean at this rate, Xehanort probably shall possess Terra, and become the scientist who lost his memory. Then you have Ven who oddly resembles Roxas. I would be surprised if Aqua didn't have such high significance.
