Manga- has been out for a while, by Shiro Amano, etc. Pictures.

Novels- are coming out at some future point [hopefully soon], by some other person. Words.

I'm not exactly sure about everything myself but I do know that two new novels, (probably graphic novels by looking at the picture to the right of the description) is coming out on 25th and they contain a lot of brand new info!

Oh wow =] so where can I read about these novels? I've never actually heard about them before. I remember reading an article once and it mentioning "novels", but those only turned out to be the KH2 manga.

Darkness Within is indeed the second novel that is coming out on that day. So, if the are selling them on Amazon, that means they have to be out soon! Wait, unless it's Japanese.

I think that, and The First Door, will be in English. I mean this is the English edition after all. Plus Reading level 9-12? I don't think they'd put that for a Japanese edition on an American website! =P

Yeah, The First Door is the first novel, and Darkness Within is the second one and they both come out same day.

oh i have vol 1&2 of KH1 both KH:CoM mangas and vol.1 of KH2...i didnt think the rest came out yet

i checked out wikipedia it appears to me that it contradicts itself in the media section it says march 25th while in the novel section it says june of '08 so im more inclined to believe amazons date as the 5th of august and yes its a US release

I would rather believe what Amazon.com tells us, and that BOTH novels are coming out August 5th, 2008. It does not come out March 25th. I don't know where wikipedia got it's information but it is wrong.

Also KHI had already reported this in May of last year

i checked all the references and they lead nowhere unless you can read japanese and if you type in kingdom hearts series theres a section that talks about the novel and near the end it said the release date date was june of '08 hope that clarifies things

...dang... didn't even see that. Thank you for pointing that out. But I'll still check in to the website tomorrow and Monday and Tuesday to see if it still says the same thing. Don't mind me, I have nothing better to do anyways, (don't mention homework)
