Riku in KH1 had a replica keyblade, so it's possible.

simple... without the keychain, the keyblade becomes looks whatever it did when you put on the chain... but it loses all it's special powers and becomes a keyblade thats "mortal", meaning it can be destroyed........ also, could Terra be a young version of Xeahnort..... just say yes or no... no need for any disscution......

The keychain gives the keyblade the powers it needs.

^it could increase magic and etc....like Bond of Flames gives you stronger fire.....and each keyblade has its own ability, like KK has Defender...

so basically it just alters the abilities of the keyblade. Thats not really power, that's just add ons to your attributes and stats
