Maybe keyblades have a true form that can only be seen when the keychain is detached?

^ I doubt that I think it's the other way around, a Keyblade isn't in it's true form untill it has a keychain.

im confused.if they change forms won't they be unstable or will the user be able to change forms anytime?like terra.maybe the keyblade changes when the user feels different emotions!it's unlikely. maybe a keyblades true form is not what we've been seeing(the normal dormant forms)

I think of it (Oh God I'm going to sound like a nerd) as like being a lens in a Lightsaber. It needs it to work to its full strength. Don't ask me about Terra's Keyblade because I have no idea. Also I think it was put in the game as a little joke since on a key ring you have keys and key chains and since the metal coming of the Keyblade is like a key ring there is a keychain on too.

I've been thinking, could Sora's necklace be used as a keychain? Would it look like a white version of Oblivion or something?

hmm well wat about riku/ansem in kh? that AWESOME...keyblade that didn't have a keychain either yet in kh2 his did..

i think someone i forgot was on to something about the heart...

because when riku was possessed by ansem, ansem didnt have a heart he was all heartless...

no heart means no keychain

the chains that binds the key

btw i just made that up but it kinda makes sense in a way, sora is the key, his heart binds together everyone else....

i think sora doesn't take the kingdom keychain off. only put other ones in.

I think when there is no keychain, the keyblade has its true form.

Meaning if we take off the keychain from the KK, it is possible it has the form of Terra's keyblade.

But terra's one looks so much different and the keychains make the keyblades stable.without them sora could transform his keyblade to different shapes(like terra) and they could increase or decrease in power. aren't keychains a sign of respect,passion,valor?so keeping them is good right?

wait....the Soul Blade (or Heart Unlocker if you'd like...) was made from the hearts of the 7 princesses (well 6, because Kairi's was in Sora)....so maybe VAT's keyblades have hearts?

I think the Keyblades R the Heart of Each world..So for instance...the wishing lamp(or wateva its called) is was Made frum the heart of Agrabah...and the The keyblades from each world can b Copied(cant find a betta word) so wen Sora goes 2 a world the memories he experiences change the keyblades Shape....thus there can b more than 1 of each keyblade

Just a Thought.... :p
