Default MX keychain theory

OK, I waz just watching the bbs trailer a while ago and noticed something... MX's keyblade haz a keychain on it!!! go 2 youtube and type in "kingdom hearts 3 full extended trailer [high quality]" then pause it on 3:33 it clearly shows the chain on MX's keychain. which brings me 2 my theory: I'm startin 2 think that only keyblade MASTERS can have a keychain on their keyblade and apprentices have keyblades w/o keychains until they can earn the rank of "master". if anyone else said this, I'm sorry. btw, did anyone else notice that all the keyblades in the gathering place had no keychains as well? tell me what u think.

yes, i noticed. two, thats actually and interesting thought, because the way i saw it (which is only opinion), i thought that those who didn't have keychains could truly be called a master, based on what terra is able to do with his keyblade. but you can still say that yours has something to it, seeing has how this xehanort calls himself master, and he can obviously still overpower terra. but, that master bit can just be something that he added on himself. gosh, i need to stop contradicting myself....

If by saying "based on what Terra is able 2 do w/ his keyblade" u r referring to the kh2:fm fight, that actually is not Terra, he's called "Lingering Sentiment". good piont though.

Yes we have heard the whole keychain thing a million times but the new idea you have with it, that could mean something.

I'm not sure DS DOES have one...does he? and actually, Sora IS a keyblade master. have u never heard everyone say he's a keyblade master in the game? XP Kairi never actually SUMMONED a keyblade and Riku waz the original keyblade master but then his heart became too weak and got eclipsed by darkness so Sora got the keyblade along w/ it's master rights. but then Riku overcame the darkness and got the keyblade back while Sora kept his.

The DS DOES have one, go watch the video.Sora is called a Keyblade Master, it doesn't mean he is one, and same with Riku(although I never heard him called a Master) And Kairi even if she didn't summon it her self it was from Riku, Riku still not a Master...It doesn't matter anyway, the Keychains that is.

this theory makes a lot of sense but yeah, DS does have a keychain on his as well, so it's not a flawless theory, but then it wouldn't be much of a theory it it was.

Know what I think, I believe that the Keyblade Masters being Xehanort and VAT's master are in opposition in teaching methods. Like a Keyblade gains more power and ability when a keychain is attached to it. But VAT's master doesn't believe in doing that so he teaches his pupils to fight with the Keyblade's true potential. While Xehanort is just looking to gain power so he uses keychains and teaches his apprentice to use keychains, which would explain why they were more powerful than VAT in the secret movie.

Though as we realized at the end of that movie Mickey is seen w/ Yen Sid's keyblade meaning that the "w/o" a keychain style is like an old means of using the keyblade and is becoming obsolete(sp?) and now all newer generation keyblade bearers are fighting w/ keychains to excel their abilities.... and yadda yadda yadda.

i had to stop after the "only masters can have them" part .. i mean look at sora .. his skill would not qualify him to be master of anything when you compare him to terra's skills and MX's .. and yet he still has a keychain?? and look at the DS too - he has a keychain as well and he is only an apprentice .. so this wont work and i dont think it is very likely at all .. this is an interesting way to approach the idea though .. so i applaud you in that regard..
