You know how Xehanorts heartless was ansem in kh 1. well he was still a heartless even though he had a human form. sora turned into a heartless and andcame back into a human form. woldnt that still make him a heartless.

now now no need to act like such. it's a confusing and complicated question. it's been answered many times yes but whatever. anyways i wouldn't exactly say Sora's position after being purified by Kairi's light was a "normal" state of being. he was only a heart the body was Roxas after all.

He was an existence solely of heart. That body was the body comensating for its loss.

It's funny if you ask me, given the fact that Xehanort and Sora are pretty similiar not in personality but more in transformation. Although Sora became a heartless he was able to regain his form as a human with the help of Kairis light, so in a way he was still a heartless. Xehanort was able to keep his human form even when gave himself to darkness, which leaves questions as to why? and how? Soras nobody Roxas was special given that he could wield keyblades and almost for an instance act as if he had a heart of his own, while Xemnas the same was unique on his own not to mention that a nobody is the shell so this in turn are their physical selves. For example Roxas could Dual wield and perform many flips and tricks, and then suddenly as he returns to sora, then Sora was able to dual wield and such. The separation helped improve the physical side of performing the keyblade while the mental or heart side improved on understanding friendship etc. Xehanorts heartless mentally learned where Kingdom hearts was, while Xemnas physically created it....well sort of...but i guess that proves my point their. And last but not truly known yet are the past connections in which somehow Sora has a connection to Ven and Xehanort looks like Terra......

I figured that because Kairi was able to use light to sustain, or more regain Soras body, somehow this could have happened in a different way with Xehanort in that maybe MX expiremnted with light. While we cant say that that's true it in some way might answer the possibility on why Xehanort kept his form when giving himself to darkness. We know he had a strong heart......but that proves only little of why he didn't become a little black imp.

Personally, this essentially irrelevant as Roxas returned to Sora at the beginning of KH2 as Sora was coming out his 'eGG'. Although this does mean that, in CoM, Sora was basically a heartless, which makes what Larxene said to basically true ("Yes, your'e a hero. A heartless hero")

Incorrect. He didn't get his body back. He was an existence of only the heart until he merged back with Roxas. This is in the Ultimania. And if you like, I can show you how I know that, if my own word is not enough.
