I mean the losing memories thing was definitely Namine, but the memories based on worlds and cards, how much of that was the castle, and how much of it was Namine, it's not very clear what was going on there, anyway what are your thoughts?

There isn’t a concrete answer to this that I’m aware of. But the castle does have magical properties thanks to Aqua. So I think it is more or less an even mix of both.

My guess would be that the creation of the cards are thanks to Namine as she is the one capable of manipulating the memories of Sora and his friends. But the fact that those cards can then be used to create physical worlds, people, etc. is entirely thanks to the castle’s magical properties. If it weren’t for Namine though, anyone going through the castle would just be exploring endless white rooms.

That makes sense.
