I do question my parents. I do it daily. I'm a shitty teen and all, so it's my job to question them. But never have I questioned was stealing wrong. I always knew it was. Just like religious people end up thinking god is true. Hell, if I'd been dragged to the church, I'd probably think god is one of my homies. My parents raised me saying "we have no f'ing clue if god is real" so I really did end up thinking that to myself. Quote:
But hasn't this debate gone on long enough? Let's just call me the winner and be done with it.

But seriously Toasty, good luck with this. If you can do it, you're clearly a better man than the rest of us put together.

Rep Power: 18 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | My whole family is Mormon. Shit kinda sucks. Fortunately for me, my family takes a more relaxed approach to the faith, so I can get away with stuff like drinking coffee and they don't really care (well, they don't know I do but if they did I don't think they would care much). Sadly, however, they've been trying to get us more active (we were quite INactive for several years since my father ran into some issues with the Church), and now that might change. =/ Since I'm going to have to go to young men meetings and stuff like that, I'm not sure if I want to lie or not, either way it's going to be awkward. Anyhow, Even if she is baptised or anything, she can leave the Church any time she wants. It's all up to her. Nobody will force her to stay. Persuade, maybe, but not force. So unless I missed something you don't really have a time limit. |
