I have one more fight and then I'll have completely finished FF11. Kind of sad to leave it but there's always fourte...real life.
If anyone's thinking about coming to this game then I will tell you it's easier than ever to experience the story. You can level to 99 and be some pretty decent equipment in a month or so, which will enable you to solo most of the story. Get a good link shell with people who will help you and you're laughing.
Finishing everything will take forever and at his point is probably not worth it. But playing Chains Of Promathia is a must as its up there with some of the best FF storylines (remember those).
Anyway, better wait 10 hours for a party to beat this she-witch.

FFXI: SoA... Newbie friendly features?
So, awhile back, I read something that Seekers of Adoulin would potentially bring with it some systems to smooth the new/leveling/solo player experience. As I understand it, in keeping with its reputation as "old school," for better or worse, the game is mighty co-dependent for just about everything, including leveling. I'm not going to get into the pros and cons of that, because at this stage of the game, there are valid arguments on either side of the fence there, but I am, as someone chomping at the bit to try ANY FF MMO, curious if this "hole" in the game was indeed breached with SoA.
If I can solo (without "book burning" ... whatever that is) to the level cap, and into most if not all jobs, I'm in. If not, I'll wait for FFXIV:ARR (which I suspect is SE's intent, but that's another discussion altogether.)
