Well, I admit that battle is somewhat hard, if you have any quickenings use them, and if you have quickenings on other characters aswell, after you use your first quickenings switch out your main characters for back up, and have them fight, one all of them die, bring back your main charaters. Hope that helps somewhat.

Dang it!!! I tried killing him again. I used my quickenings like Maradur said. I got 9 hits in! Then I brought Fran in and used her quickening. All that knocked out a crapload of health! After that I started pounding away and next thing I know he's killing everyone one by one. After a while all I had left was Balthier. I shot him the same time he killed me!

And here's the worst part! That shot took away the last bit of health he had! So if I just had a little more health in me, I could've killed him! GRRR!! >.<

Protect and Shell work wonders, so do License Board bonuses. :)

Yes LB are good, try to find the ones that give hp, the highest I've unlocked was 150 hp+, but right now I am going for the 500 hp +

That is the one I was talking about, use your quickenings on it. then if he survives, either have all your characters defeat him, or get him to low hp, and switch out your other characters and have 1 or 2 people get the exp for it, cause it will be higher if its just one person. I was about level 14 when I beat him, level 20 now.

I just enterred the Royal Palace of Rabanastre. I'm loving the game so far, even though I want to get some more party members, because it's starting to get boring do all the battles with just Vaan.

im at level 15 and im at the part where you first get to use penello in your party in the desert and you need to find that kid. should i move on w/ the story or keep leveling up?

And seriously your level 15 at the part? dude seriously move on. your not gonna be able to gain levels from monsters on the next few parts cause they will be a really low level, I was also around level 5-6 when I was at the part.
