Final Fantasy XIII-2 - "Toriyama Waifu Chronicles"

Oh man Jihl is like ridiculously hard! I was fighting for like 20 mins and she killed me! Man anyone got a good strategy? I kept focusing on the allies she kept summoning, until I realized she just gets rid of them and then brings them back! Oiiii! She's so hard!

Darn, now I really wanna play vs Jihl, I've been looking for a challenge. I gotta buy more PSN load soon.

EDIT: Do you guys think they might release a TYPE-0 / VERSUS XIII Character as a DLC for "promotional" purposes?
I hope they do.

I don't know if it's just because I already have the DLCs, but Omega, Summoner's Garb, and Genji Bow are on my PSN now for $2.99 each (Genji is .99). Anyone wanna confirm whether they're public or not?

Yeah, I saw them on my PSN earlier when I went to download Jihl's battle.

She's tough, but she has one glaring weakness: if she attempts to absorb her allies when there are none left, the move backfires on her and does a ton of damage. I'm talking 150k+ HP here. Decimation-W (COM/RAV/SYN) is a great paradigm for getting rid of her allies. I had Noel Blitzing the PSICOM Wardens first, since they're the weakest. Serah will spam area-of-effect spells due to the Wide tuning, which will help take out the rest. I had my monster (a Microchu) apply Bravery/Faith to the party to help us kill off Jihl's allies before she absorbs them. If I thought it was going too slow, I went for Cerberus-W. As for Sadistic Surge, just go SEN/SEN/SEN before she uses it, and MED/MED/MED right after to heal.

Thing is, once you get Jihl's HP down low enough, she'll only summon two Azure Behemoths, which you probably won't be able to take down before she can absorb them. In this case, I just went straight for her instead. Got her on my third try, too!

Finally finished the game a couple days ago~ I am sincerely hoping they continue it somehow :/ FF13-3 or a movie or SOMETHING

Also Jihl looks EPIC

First battle went really well. Few minutes, 5 stars.Second time was terrible. 16 minutes. And if you kill her with beasts still out, you have to kill them -_-
I got her on my second go though :D

Man I spent 3 days trying to capture lightning! is there a trick to this? I keep using Feral Link on her and finishing her off, and I have the capture Monster increase on too. Is it just luck or what?

ya its pretty much luck. try using a feral link to kill amodar first then use one to kill lightning. That's what i did and i got it on my 7th try. Whats odd is that i beat omega once when i downloaded him and i got him. -_- i still need to beat jihl which is hard as crap. and im all leveled up with some damn good monsters too

Jihl is probably the easiest opponent in the colisuem I beat her in 50 seconds.

^Please tell me how! i can't seem to beat her! She's just too hard. Though I have yet to bear Yomi, should I be able to beat Yomi before trying Jhil?

did you max out your stats yet? did you get good monsters in your team? I went to gamefaqs for help, and well I did everything they told me, and I beat her in 50 seconds. She's not so tough.

Anyways, I just completed the storyline of the game because I was behind, and I decided to max my stats out (which I now regret considering there is a Double CP fragment skill) before the last boss and collect most of the fragments likewise.

Can someone either PM me or explain to me the ending? I understand it, but I don't want to accept it.

Spoiler: Ending Question

Is that it? Serah died? I played through the whole game as her because I'm not a big Noel-fan and she dies on me! That was such a sad part (rivaling Xion's death for me because I put some much effort into my Serah's development). Also, Lightning is crystallized at the end. I'm kind of confused on this point, she sacrificed herself because she saw the canon-ending as the definite future, but why did she crystallize herself? Is she Etro in a way now? Also, FFXIII-3 is almost guaranteed at this point...that ending was very sad, in an emtionally sad way, not sad as in "bad."

Yeah Jihl by herself is really quite easy to defeat. The issue is more the monsters she summons and when she puts everyone to sleep pre-limit break. If you have pretty good HP and/or use a Sentinel to take the blows/Provoke with a Rav/Com combo, you should be able to defeat her pretty quickly

Yeah it is sad, and we currently dont know if they are going to make a ff13-3 or just explain everything in the lightning story that they are going to give us. I know how you felt, and I cried too cause I actually liked Serah.

I know the whole "they registered FFXIII-3's site" thing, and I know it was just a precaution, but with the "To be continued..." it is almost impossible for them not to elaborate on the ending more, whether it be in DLC parts or as a new game, but considering one of the main characters is dead, and another is crystallized, I don't see how you could run through the episode as just Noel. Also, can you explain why Lightning is crystal? That part made be weep more and I didn't even understand why I was sad, perhaps because she knew all along that...NO, I can't bring myself to say it...I won't!!!
