old news is old lol, but not really. Pretty sure GameStop has the whole Pre-Order Bonus Pack which has the Omega Battle, Serah's outfit and Episode i novella, plus a steelbook. At least, that's how it is over here.

I wish the US would get that but I highly doubt it. I'm skeptical on reserving it now in case that happens, but until then, I think I'm gonna go with FFXIII-2 at Best Buy.

Aren't games usually done like one or two months before release?
Or would this just be touching it up and writing out the dialogue and stuff?

There's no set standard between the game going gold and the game actually being released. Depends entirely on the Publisher. An example would be New Vegas going gold on end of August/Beginning of September, but didn't get a release until 22nd October. Another example would be one of the Harry Potter games going gold in time for the November release to coincide with the film, but the delay of the film delayed the game. Apparently no work was added on the game.

Also take note that Light's speech about Etro's resting in peace has changed a bit.

Lol, there is more to come. I don't know if you have read the whole five hours of play review some major game news sites have done but there is a lot more in the opening scenes.

Okay, I'm beginning to think SE really is trying to re-produce VII in XIII and XIII-2. lol! Or they're taking the piss out of it.
I made the comment months ago about Light battling Bahamut among scaffolding, which is very reminiscent of Advent Children. And now, in the intro we have Caius summoning " [the] Husk of the Wandering Comet" ...really? Talk about a direct reference to VII, I don't think I even have to explain that one.
To be honest, it doesn't bother me. All greatness comes from somewhere and if they had to pick a game to emulate VII is fine (though I'd prefer VI!). And I have a new drinking game! Every time a cutscene is a play on VII, take a shot. If any of the dialogue matches, take two lol.
