Well i wonder, how is the time travel-thingy going to bind with finding Lightning? Maybe the shrine of Etro has something to do with all of the people dying...

I just hope the time-travel system wont mess with the core game too much.

We don't know yet. All I can think is that Noel coming from the futures, Lightning dissappearing into the world where Etro is, and the the fact everyone thinks Light's dead except Serah... All these pieces will come together.

Well to an extent it has to tie in to death. Muin and Etro are the goddesses of the Invisible World, and also of Death.

Oh yeah, for a second I thought I'll get it wrong. So if we're playing with Serah/Noel/old allies of 13 in Cacoon/Gran Pluse and Lightning in the Invisible world, then is it possilbe we're saving both and freeing Fang and Vanille?

I don't think it does because "Alternate Figure 005" or "Alternate Future 300" doesn't made much sense. It sounds like there are more alternate futures than anything else.

Also, if I had to guess, I would say AF stood for "After Fal'cie" but more in the sense that it is after Fal'cie rule and the humans are no longer dependent on them. I would like to think it means "After Fang" but I highly doubt anyone really knows Fang's role as Ragnarok beside the original cast.

Well if it's two years after the events of XIII... That means the anchor point is sometime before XIII, which in turn means that it can't (or rather shouldn't) be After fal'Cie. The best thing I can think of now is After Farron, as in when Serah first became a l'Cie.

But at the same time... Isn't XIII-2 meant to be three years after XIII?

Yes, pre. As in before. AF only would have started 3 years prior to the end of XIII, and I doubt the timeline for XIII extended over 3 years.

Why would AF be before FFXIII?

To me logically, the anchor point (AF) is 3 years after FFXIII when FFXIII-2 starts (or whatever they decide the time gap is).

FFXIII would therefore be AF-3.

Unless I am missing somothing obvious.

Cool, At least I know you can still heal on Odin, I was worried I'd be stuck on that part of the game when it comes out.
