I think that when he said "time frame" he meant something a little more specific. In the video game world, just a year doesn't usually say much (even more so if the company saying it is known for pushing back release dates) and usually means "we hope we'll have it done in that year; but if not, then at least we weren't very specific."

Still better than nothing if there confident enough to even make a release date it mean the game is well on its way to being complete and if not 2012 then early 2013.

I saw a theory that something happens to Noct in the game that sparks a huge change in him (both he and Ignis seems pretty serious and pissed off at the end of the trailer), the theorist guessing maybe Prompio and Gladiolus were killed, or someone else that was close to them (the King perhaps?). It'd make sense and would fit in rather nicely with the whole "FFV13 may be the darkest FF game yet" comment that S-E made a while back.

That theory sounds about right. It might be all three. This game is supposed to be influenced by Shakespeare's works and in Hamlet the father is killed, in Romeo and Juliet the friend is killed, and in Julius Caesar Brutus betrays Julius. And Macbeth has lots of death as well.

Very true. If this is the case, I imagine that Noctis will start off cocky and a tad bit egotistical, but after tragedy strikes, he becomes an utter badass.

Just watched the trailer again.

Easily my most hyped game of the next year or two.

It is the perfect combat system, in my opinion. If they can just take the flash and beauty + strategy of BbS and improve upon it for this game...I think....I don't know what I'd do...

I just hope the enemy variety is much more than just the enemy soldiers in the video. There were monsters too which is good, but I hope the variety is huge.

I don't think the monsters will disappoint us. This is the man who created the Heartless remember. I'm sure he knows how to make some fearsome enemies never before seen in an FF game.

Re-watched it again. The translation adds more to my Hype for this game :D, But what I liked the most is how Noctis's and his companions' lines transitioned through the trailer to show the differences in the characters and situations development through the game <3

This game looks like somebody crawled into my mind, and said "Lets make that man's perfect game". The only concern I have is whether or not there will be talkable-NPC areas in the game. God I miss the days, when I could talk to NPCs... It stands to reason that if there is a open world-map there must be places to go to in the world map, which hopefully equates to old-school style towns, though given the games realistic appearance (and proportions), it could be doubtful.

Yeah one thing I noticed in the trailer, there are towns and cities, but whether or not we can actually do anything besides fight in them remains to be seen, although I'm sure we can.
