Should there be more Final Fantasy remakes for DS and PSP?

Do you think their will be a Final Fantasy V and VI DS? And what about Final Fantasy I and II?

I believe V and VI will come out. The whole reason for DS version is that many fans will buy PSP for Dissidia, and so by putting it on the DS, they would want it, and also for the fact that some people never played the older FF. I hope they make DS versions. I would also like I and II again, but remade, not ported.

but they also have GBA ports of IV, V, and VI, yet they still remade IV.

FFs I and II, which were on GBA as "Dawn of Souls" have been ported recently to PSP for the 20th anniversary collection of FF, with the features of Dawn of Souls. FFIV just happened to make it to the DS instead of the PSP.

FFV and FFVI could go either way, really, since GBA is now obsolete. FFV COULD go to teh DS while FFVI is most likely to go to PSP.

Anyway, there's already a thread about this. FFVI will be remade at one point or another, I could care less about V

It's a high possibility they will continue pour out remakes of FFs in the handhelds so no surprise if V or VI comes for DS (or its successor)

I doubt they would do any of the first four again since they have appeared in some form over the past 2 years. V and VI will come, it's just a matter of when and to what system. Then hopefully, we see a FFVII/VIII/IX *portable* remake/port.

As long as I see a VI remake. Not like the GBA port..a bit more 3D..

Nah, FFV wasn't all that popular to begin with. VI will definitely make its way to the DS eventually. But, I can't imagine them putting in the work to remake FFV.

Considering FFVI popularity, I could see it getting a PSP remake with CC's graphic.

FFVI on the PS1 was a port form the SNES version..

FFVII is the one that started on the PS1.

I hope 5 and 6 get remade for the DS, but I imagine 7 and beyond will go PSP or PS3. Nintendo released 1,4, and 6 on their NES/SNES systems so they should have publishing rights.

I really hope that VI is remade. I want to play it.

I'm sure VI is a possibility. I don't see the point of V. In terms of popularity, it was nothing compared to IV and VI, and III was just a big deal because it was the only time it had been re released, and it was the only time it was ever released at all in the west. If III had a GBA port, they wouldn't have bothered, but IV and VI are another case. So, I definitely think that the next DS remake will be VI.
