Ah shame, can't help you out. I'm guessing you don't have a PS3 to buy it on the PSN.

I do not have one. The only reason I'm having trouble getting it is because I don't have a credit/debit card.

He means the part that the guy was having trouble with where Kuja makes you go to a place with a magic field around it. Dagger and Vivi are useless but Zidane is a powerhouse of a character if you play it right.

    Gotta love those magic fields.

I need to track one of my friends down and let them order the game for me.

If I could worship the ground SE staff walked on, I would. I used to hate IX. God I hated how small they were and how it felt like a step backwards in terms of art direction...then I grew up and got over that.

FF9 definitely ranks among my faves. I've always loved it, and I still do. The music is superb, the characterization's awesome, and...

well, I love this game, so Imma stop before I just gush about it forever.

    Like for the first time?

You can't do much wrong I guess!

Edit: It is rewarding to check all the places in the first 1,2 hours. Unlike XIII, you have a chance of missing funny stuff during the trip.

I always thought it was strange how people told me they regarded IX to be a lesser game than VII/VIII was around the time of its release. And then suddenly in the future, it became many fan's favorites. I think just like between X and XII, they are to be regarded alternatively rather than what's superior to the other. I think many people were having huge expectations of VIII's graphics/art direction and a very long/indepth storyline like VII's.

Not sure but one thing that comes to mind is Excalibur II but that's only for those who want to super speed/skim the game under 12 hours which is something I don't think you'll do.

Yeah, the game has a great sense of humor; also the ATEs yield some fun scenes.
