There is a rule. The pokemon thread has been reset like 5 times since I've been here because it gets to 10k posts.

I know there's no in-built cap, but has the policy on extra-large threads changed at all since, say, a year ago? I know the Pokemon thread was closed for it's size, and old fanclubs were closed, but now there's of course things like the Post-Your-Picture thread, with 14k posts, and Shinkiro's FC with 19k.

I'm just wondering, what's the current policy on extra large threads?

The only thing that happens to threads that hit that many posts is they tend to be closed and remade. I don't remember exactly why that's the practice, but I just remember spdude closing a bunch of threads once (primarily fanclubs and shit in forum games) and I believe he said that many pages gave the server issues. However, it's not a "rule" of any kind.

I think Post a Pic and Flashchat Archive should never be wiped because it's a piece of our history lol.

We're not talking about that either. First it was about threads being closed than restarted due to the number of posts. Then someone brought up the idea that threads that reach 10k posts, get deleted and restarted.
