Chapter 2, Fend Against the Dark Assailant
The crismon-haired warrior is expelled from the black mouth of the sky. Guided by his jaded sense of righteousness, will he find a direction in seeking his ultimate self-redemption in an enigmatic guide?

Chapter 3, To Traverse Dreams
The worlds celebrate the dawning of a new era! With the development of the Travel System, everything becomes all the more easier. This is truly what dreams are made of!Leaving your troubles behind and starting anew are now simple tasks, but what cons does this developing giant bring?

Chapter 4, Embarking with Wings of Silver
Leaving your troubles behind and starting anew are now simple tasks, but what cons does this developing giant bring, and who are the people handling their problems these days?

Chapter 5, "What's Your Hurry Young Lady?" Lost in Digression
Sebrea is on a mission; investigation is its name. Now, if she can work double shift at the Goods Shop and manage to keep Pinnochio out of trouble at Geppetto's Java, then maybe she could squeeze in, say, five minutes to investigate.

Chapter 6, "What's Your Hurry Young Lady?" The Geeky Rebel
Gabrianna can definitely take care of herself. Traverse Town is only a mere stepping stone on the path of the Gabs. Come see why she is the self-proclaimed "Geeky Rebel".

Chapter 7, Seek Refuge or End the Seek
J and a kindred spirit share their revelations on the world and its darkness, as well as the apathy of the people. How long should refugees be refugees?

Chapter 8, Welcome to O'aka's
Traverse Town is terrorized by a troublesome merchant. What's new? This merchant is like all of the other merchants times five! Perhaps J can work some Coffee Magic and handle the fool peddler...

Chapter 9, 'Following Your Heart' Type Deal
O'aka seems to be a lost cause, but J intends to get to the 'heart' of the matter.

Chapter 10, The Waning Twinkle in the Sky
A new character surfaces from the world of Darkness. Join him as he delves a little into the nature of the Heartless and the Will of Darkness.

Chapter 11, The Merriment of Reunions
O'aka XXIII has just shown some actual worth! Now, for some reason, Java has to make sure that O'aka capitalizes on his newly-discovered gift. To help in this, Java seeks the advice of some old Traverse Town friends.

Chapter 12, Pioneers of a Brave New World

Chapter 13, Tendency to Ruffle Feathers

I understand that Shines One Year After is a longer story than what everyone has been used too. So, both of these sections (Act 1 and Jiminy's Journal) have gone through a serious re-vamping; it is now much easier to navigate through the chapters. So, please--read, and--post.

Both sections now include a Table of Contents; when you want to find a chapter that you last left off at, all you have to do is click on the title. Convenient, no :cool:? Now, you can post comments after each chapter, and pick up where you left off much easier!

I'll update Jiminy's Journal content shortly. Only four more chapters to go in the first Act, which is actually the end of the fic. The reason why Act 2 (or Act 1.1 and 1.2 for that matter) was never pursued is because of lack of feedback. So, if anyone want an Act 2, then I'd really need a lot of constructive criticism from you guys. Thanks for reading and post (or if you're considering, then get to it! The fic's almost over).

Chapter 20, Somber Moths Compelled by the Righteous Fire
The closer you get to the light, the greater the shadow becomes...It seems as if Heaven's Mercenary and the Heartless Lord have acquired a common interest in a weapon that supposely purges the world of Darkness.

Have added these last chapters to the Journal as well; Journal content will be updated again eventually.



This is the official end of Act 1, and also this is as far as I have gotten with this fic. For those who don't know, this fic is not recent; it has been in the works for a while and I stopped writing around a year ago. I still has bits and pieces of the sub-acts and Act 2, but I haven't really had much influence in going about starting these new acts. I hope you enjoyed reading SOTA as much as I've enjoyed writing it (a process which was a rollercoaster in its own right...)
