| Banned | A poem by Lycian Wolfe. This may or may not be my last poem that I post on KHI, most likely the latter. But I allowed the poetry thread to die, and figured I might as well post a seperate thread solely for this poem. Without further adieu, I present, not likely my best poem but one that I have grown to like, "Dreaming". Dreaming In the wake of this eve I see the place I must leave Its blood red skies and gray ground Memories all lying in a mound. Memories of a gleaming city Please tell me I’m dreaming; such a pity You went off, though I don’t cry I want to join you, but I won’t die Tell me I’m dreaming now Now I wonder exactly how Sitting in a snow ridden cemetery, All these tell tale stones before me. The town is so very cold Though our hearts won’t grow old I see you in reflections forevermore But I can’t be dreaming, nevermore. When I needed you most, you returned And in your presence, I’ve learned Learned to feel again, to love Dancing with you, light as a dove. We will make the leap together Soaring in the crescent forever Its light shining down before us In a dream world is where they’ll find us. Now singing sweet lullabies Your figure before me when I open my eyes I fight to escape what I know I’ll think of you when I see snow Rain falls all around as you think of me And I thank you for letting me see Seeing the truth behind the lies The lies that for so long clouded my eyes Because I would die for you Now I know you would die for me too But we are together again, I see the meaning And for once, I’m not dreaming. CnC. Thanks. Last edited by Miss Murder; 12/05/07 at 11:34 PM. |

| Banned | Thanks to both of you for the comments. Yeah, in my opinion, this isn't my best, but it's better than some I've written in the past. |

| Banned | Thanks much to you, bluesky. There shouldn't be any more poems in this thread ... but there's a lot in my ( now dead ) poetry thread. You can check them out there. Thanks for the comment. |
