Rep Power: 2 ![]() | Ok before you read this here are some things I need to say 1. Thoughts will be in “Italicized quotes “, my personal notes will be in [brackets], actions and events that will be in Italics, and things I need to explain that don’t directly effect the story will be in (parentheses) 2. This story picks up after KH ends so there will be SPOILERS, don’t read it if you don’t want me to spoil KH2/KH1 or if you haven’t seen KH2 secret video (you’d get confused) 3. If you see a typo and want me to know please PM me the typos and errors in this fan fic and I’ll be happy to fix them Kingdom Hearts: Remnant Chapter I Splash! Sora slowly sinks into the deep blue ocean. As he descends the colors darkens until it is almost black. Sora slowly opens his eyes. He then feels something solid below his feet and lands softly on what seems to be nothing. Then with a bight flash of light the floor is illuminated. The floor is a beautiful stained glass like picture of Sora and his friends. Sora looks around, the ocean is pitch black. Then a door is lowly illuminated at the far edge of the platform that Sora is standing on. “I remember this place,” Sora thinks to himself as he walks towards the door. As he gets closer three Shadows appear before him. “Heartless!” Sora exclaims. He looks down and in his had is the keyblade ready for battle. He quickly kills the first one with a slash to the head, the one on the far left then lunges at him. Sora steppes to his right, easily dodging the Shadow, and then splits it into with a quick swipe of the keyblade. The last shadow “liquefies” into a shadow and starts moving towards Sora. When the shadow gets to his feet it leaps out at his face, Sora doges the attack with a role to his left. Quickly getting to his feet he kills the last heartless with a blow to the mid-section. He then watches the hearts slowly leave the gas cloud left behind. After the heart fades from view he makes his way to the door, pushing it open. With another bright flash a staircase and another platform are revealed. Sora quickly climbes the stairs. When he reaches the top he is met by two Neo Shadows. Waiting for them to make the first move Sora notices that behind them is another door. Knowing Sora’s guard is down, the left Neo Shadow lunges at Sora. Anticipating an attack like that Sora blocks the attack with the keyblade. The neo Shadow attempts to get its arms past the blade reaching and slashing at Sora’s face. Annoyed, Sora throws the Neo Shadow into the other, throwing them off the platform to their death. Sora then makes a break for the door, but when he is only a few feet from it a large blue sword lands before him. “Invisibles?” Sora asks aloud as two Invisibles appear before him. “This could be bad,” Sora whispers to himself as the two heartless approach him. The right one lunges at him with his sword, just barely missing him. Sora takes this as an opportunity and jumps onto the sword, he then plants the keyblade in the heartless’ face. The heartless covers its face with its hands as it slowly falls to the ground, knocking Sora off balance. At that moment the second Invisible lunges at Sora with his sword. Sora being off balance couldn’t block it and the heartless drives the sword into his gut. Sora yells with pain but as he falls he throws his keyblade at the arm of the Invisible. The keyblade misses the arm but hits the Invisible in the face, and then in the back of the head as it returns. The heartless then explodes into a purple-black cloud. “One down, one to go,” Sora tells himself as he gets up. The remaining Invisible has since recovered from the blow to the face and lunges at Sora again. Sora ducks to dodge the attack and then thrust the keyblade up above his head as hard as he can. The keyblade lodges itself in the heartless’ face, killing it. Sora then makes his way to the second door. When he opens it another bright flash illuminates another staircase and another platform. When Sora get to the top of the stair he looks around expecting heartless, but there are none to be seen. He then eyes the floor noticing a different picture. The picture depicts a young man in black pants and a vest holding an ornately patterned sword. “Who’s this?” Sora asks aloud as if expecting someone to answer. “Is that? That sword, it looks like a keyblade!” Sora thinks to himself while staring at the sword. Suddenly a mysterious voice speaks “When two are lost, one is born,” “I remember, it’s that voice,” “Fate brings and takes life however, all can be reversed,” “What’s that supposed to mean?” Sora asks aloud expecting another response but he is only met with silence. Then Sora’s shadow elongates and grows to become a Darkside. “Just like last time,” Sora thinks to himself as the Darkside lifts its arm for an attack. Remembering the way he defeated a Darkside last time he throws the keyblade at the heartless’ arm. This time Sora’s aim was spot on and the keyblade hit the arm. The Darkside groaned and then fell to its knees. Sora knew what to do, he ran up, jumped off its knee onto its back and started hacking and slashing at its head. After sustaining serious damage the Darkside groaned again, rearing up as it did. It then plunged its arm deep into the platform creating a dark hole in the center. Sora knew that this would release more shadows and so he ignored the rift and ran straight up the beast arm. He climbed his way up to its head once more and started slashing. After ten hits the heartless slowly got to its feet, throwing Sora off in the process. It then began to spew balls of energy from the gap in its chest. Sora decided to try something new and slashed at one of the falling orbs. Surely enough the orb was thrown back towards the Darkside, damaging it when the two collided. The damaged Darkside fell to its knees. Sora climbed up the heartless once again, delivering one final blow to its head. The Darkside then fell face forward to the ground. The body then lay still for a couple of seconds before exploding into a giant black and purple cloud, releasing an enormous heart as it did. When the cloud dissipated Sora saw a sword floating in the center of the pedestal. “I remember, that’s the weapon I chose when it all started,” Sora thinks to himself as he stares at the small sword. Then the mysterious voice speaks again. “Fate is guided by those who are strong,” “Does it mean? Of course I chose the sword and I got the blade, the other two…the shield and staff, those were Donald and Goofy weren’t they…It starting to make sense….I think,” Sora says, thinking aloud. “All hearts are joined in one, but all things can be torn asunder,” “Ok never mind, I don’t get it at all,” Sora tells the voice, hoping for a response. Only a few seconds after hi is finished speaking the sword explodes with a blinding white light. “AHH!!!” Sora yells as he wakes up, jumping out of his bed. “It was all just a dream, wasn’t it?” Sora ponders aloud as he stares out the window. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If I get a good response, I'll write the rest, If not I'll just stop now Last edited by Sephiros_TH; 12/01/07 at 11:47 PM. |

Rep Power: 2 ![]() | WOW someone actually replied thanks for the comments, I actually thought that this topic was deleted cuz no one liked it and then I realized it had more then zero replies. Ok because you replied here is chapter two ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Kingdom Hearts: Remnant Chapter II Sora gets up and goes down stairs to eat breakfast. Just as he is about to open the refrigerator some one knocked on the door. Sora walks over to see who it is. He looks through the window and Kairi standing outside. Sora rushes over to open the door. “Hey Sora, you ready to go?” Kairi asks Sora. “Uh, yeah sure…hold on,” Sora says as he goes back into the kitchen to grab some fruit. He then rushes out the door. “So what are we doing today?” Sora asks as he stops in the middle of the road. “Were going to the islands remember?” “Oh yeah, hey I can see the beach…I’ll race you there!” and with the Sora runs off towards the clear blue water. “Hey that’s not fair!” Kairi yells in a rage as she chasse after him. When Kairi catches up to Sora he is already pushing the canoe out into the water. “Ok hop in!” Sora yells. Kairi climbs and Sora gives one last push and the canoe is in knee deep water. Sora then climbs in and begins to row. “Hey Sora did you get up like five minutes ago?” Kairi asks as Sora bites into his apple. “Uh…yeah kinda, why?” “It one in the afternoon,” “Really?” “Yeah when did you go to sleep?’ “I don’t know, late I guess,” “Well ok…Hey watch where your going your gonna ram the dock!” Kairi yells. THUD! The boat begins to rock back and forth. Sora seeing this as an opertunity to have some fun makes the boat rock even more. “STOP, you’re gonna tip us ov-” Kairi starts to yell. Splash! The boat tips completely over in the waist high water. The two then swim to shore and lye down next to each other in the warm sand. “Sora that was mean!” Kairi says as she turns to look at Sora. Sora couldn’t even hear her, he was remembering the dream he had that night. “Who was that guy?” Sora thinks to himself. “SORA!” Kari yells to get his attention. “Ah, what, what? “You had that dream again didn’t you?” “What dream?’ “I’m not dumb Sora, that’s the second time this week,” “Really?” “They started after Riku left didn’t they?” “Yeah, I think your right,” Sora say quietly as he begins to remember the last time he saw Riku. It was twelve’s days prior. Kairi came running toward Riku and Sora. “Guys there’s a message from the King!” She exclaims as she holds up a bottle with a letter inside. “Let me see!” Sora says as he takes the bottle. Sora opens the bottle and begins to read the letter. Dear Sora and Friends, There has been a recent incident at Disney Castle. The castle was attacked by armored creatures. Much of the world has been destroyed. I’m not sure what is going on, but it isn’t good. Please we need some help. Signed, King Mickey “Uh oh, that doesn’t sound good,” Sora says as he puts the letter down. “So are you gonna go?” Kairi asks. “I don’t know,” Sora replies. “Kairi do you mind if Sora and I speak alone?” Riku asks. “But I should get know what’s going to happen,” Kairi complains. “Kairi, go,” Sora says. Kaki turns around and storms of to the beach. “She’s not gonna be happy about this Riku,” “Sora this serious, look I should go alone,” “WHAT!?!” “Look Sora you two have some catching up to do, anyway I need to assure myself I’m still needed,” “What’s that supposed to mean?” “Look I’m sure that their just some new kind of heartless, just let me go alone,” “I don’t know Riku…” “You know you can’t stop me from going, I just don’t want you going,” “Well ok but if you don’t come back in two weeks I’m goin’ after you!’ “Sounds good,” and with that Riku walked off. “Wait how are you gonna get there?” Sora yells as he turns around but Riku was nowhere to be seen. *** SLASH! A blue blade cuts through an small armored figure. The armor falls apart and a small white life is released, and the armor fades into dust. “All things can be torn asunder,” Says a man wearing a blue vest and black pants, smiling to himself. “YOU!” Riku yells as he walks out from behind the man. He then Lunges at him with his keyblade. Just as the blade is about to collide with the man’s head he vanishes in a bight blue light. “DAMN, where are you going?” Riku asks aloud and then disappears into a swirling black doorway. *** “So when do you thin he’s gonna get back?” kairi asks.“I don’t Kno-” Sora is about to finish his sentence when the man wearing the blue vest appears behind them in a blue flash. “That’s…That’s the guy, the guy in my dream!” Sora stutters. The man looks around as if looking for something. ‘Well this place seems clean,” he says as he begins to walk foreword. “Hey hold it where are you going?” Sora says as gets up, pulling out the keyblade at the same time. The man just keeps walking. “YOU!!!” Riku screams as he runs out from the black doorway. This time he’s sure that he’ll destroy the man in the blue vest. “Riku?!?” Sora yells in confusion. The man in the blue vest then vanishes into the blue light again. “Stop running!” Riku yells in anger as he runs back into the black doorway. “Kairi I’m sorry but I have to go,” Sora says turning towards Kairi. She just nods. Sora then starts running towards the black doorway that was left behind after Riku. Last edited by Sephiros_TH; 01/02/08 at 08:09 PM. |

Rep Power: 2 ![]() | Your wish is my command  ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Kingdom Hearts: Remnant Chapter III Sora opens his eyes to see that he is standing in front of Master Yen-Sid’s tower. “Huh?” Sora blurts out. “Riku…Riku you there?” Sora yells expecting Riku. He begins to look around. He then starts to make his way towards the tower door when he notices something glistening in the bushes. “Hey whoever is in there you better come out!” Sora yells pulling out the keyblade. The bushes then begin to stir, but still no response. Fed up with waiting Sora makes his way towards the bushes when he is blinded by a blue flash of light. Suddenly the man in the blue vest shoots out of the bushes tackling a small armored figure. “AAAAAAAH!!!” he yells as they fall to the ground. He then whips out a sword and begins to stab the creature mercilessly. The creature falls apart and a small whit light is released. The armor is then reduced to ashes. “HEY YOU DON’T MOVE!!!” Sora yells as he begins to run towards the man. The man then vanishes in a blue flash again. “Tch, now I know why Riku was so mad,” Sora says as he stares blindly into space. He then makes his way into the tower. “Hello?” Sora yells as he opens the door. He then begins to make his way up the stair case. As he walks up the stair he approaches the first door and hears the clanging of swords and battle cries. He runs to the door and opens it. Inside the blue vested man is fighting five of the same armored figure Sora saw him fight in the courtyard. The blue vested man lunged forward at the creature closest to Sora. With one slash he tore the creature in two. The creature fell apart like the one in the courtyard. The blue vested man then jumped into the air. He then jumped of the ceiling slashing at two other creatures. The one to the left simply pushed the one next to it into the way of the man’s sword. The man was unfazed and continued his attack. There were three creatures left and the man was beginning to lose his patients. He then pulled out a second sword. He threw both at the two creatures on either side of the room. Not expecting a ranged attack the creatures didn’t have time to avoid the blades and were torn asunder. The last remaining creature, felling cornered, opened its mouth and let lose a pale blue ray. The vested man dodged the attack with a role to his left. The beam however continued on and impacted the door Sora didn’t open. The door instantly vanished leaving a gaping hole of nothing ness [the nothingness looks like the static you get on a TV]. Caught off guard Sora fell back. There was a blinding flash and by the time Sora got back to his feet the room was empty. “But…where did he?” Sora stutters as he begins to climb the next staircase. Sora rushed to the next room. When he opened the door he saw two creatures standing next to each other facing him. Suddenly the floor erupted into a blue light and the vested man shot out from below swords at the ready. The creatures didn’t see it coming; he caught them from below and carried them up into the ceiling where they disappeared into a blue light. “Dang it!” Sora exclaims. “I can’t believe it where is he always going?” Sora asks aloud, brimming with frustration. Sora climbs the final staircase and arrives in Yen-Sid’s study. “Master Sid are you here?” Sora asks as he opens the door. “Ah Sora, good to see you my boy,” “Um if you don’t mind me asking, have you seen anything strange latly?” “Out of the ordinary yes, strange no,” “Wait what is that supposed to mean?” “You undoubtedly speak of the armored creatures no?” “Uh yeah how is that not strange?” “These are natural creatures, not unlike the heartless,” “More heartless?” “No not quite, do you remember your last visit here?” “Uh kinda, something about nobodies and heartless right?” “Hahah yes here let me refresh your memory,” Yen-Sid says as he gets up from his chair. He then conjures up a Shadow and a Dusk. “As you see here there is a heartless and a nobody,” yen-Sid explains “mhm” Sora says half-mindedly. Yen-Sid then conjures up another figure. This time it is the armored creatures from before. “This is called a Remain, the third in the cycle,” Yen-Sid explains. “Cycle, wait what?” “when a heartless takes a heart the heart becomes the heartless, the body and mind create a nobody, and the soul becomes a remain,” “Why, that doesn’t make any sense that’s not a soul it has armor!” “Yes you see remain feed on the ties that world have to the original world through time, when a person’s heart it take by a heartless then it is as if the soul never existed as it is removed from the scope of time that bound it to the original world or Kingdomhearts,” “That doesn’t make any sense,” “When the soul is beyond the space and time of Kingdomhearts it is captured and placed in armor and becomes a remain,” “Uh…Ok sure,” “Now the time it eats is held in the blue, glasslike bubbles you see on the body,” Yen-Sid says pointing towards the remain. Sora turns to look. The creature walks on two legs but has a reptilian look to it. The amour is white; each hand and foot has three digits. The arms are longer then the legs. The upper arms and thighs of the creature have blue, glasslike bubbles on them. “The black chest plate with a glass bubble bisected is where the soul is kept,” Yen-Sid explains. Sure enough Sora looks at the Remain a second time and notices that the chest plate is indeed black, and the bubble is cut through the middle by a black trip of metal. “So does this one have a special name like the Dusk and Shadow do?” Sora asks. “Yes this is a Grunt, they are the lowest form of Remain, however they are much more powerful then both the Dusk and the Shadow,” “Is there a special way for me to fight these things then?” “No, no my boy these are not for you to slay, you have yet to finish your task with the heartless,’ “But I thought that the heartless will never disappear unless people let go of the darkness in their hearts,” “All the more reason for you to continue your fight against them, stay clear of the Remain they have powers that you were never meant to experience,” “Ok then, but uh how am I supposed to fight the heartless if I don’t have a way to travel to other worlds?” “I’m sure that you friends in Twilight Town can help, now off with you!” Yen-Sid exclaims. Sora leaves in a rush. He quickly climbs the second staircase and is moving down the first when he turns back. The door that had disappeared was there, as if it had never been destroyed. “Huh, that weird I thought…eh what ever,” Sora says looking back. He then turns to and runs down the last of the steps to the bottom of the tower. He then rushes out of the door. As he opens the door he sees the blue vested man fighting a new kind of Remain. This one had a sword in hand and was much taller. The Remain lunges at the blue vested man bringing the sword above its head. Slash! The Remain misses the man and drives the sword deep into the earth. Not wasting any time the man quickly counters with a flurry of blows, his sword cutting deep with each strike. Eventually the Remain succumbs to the punishment and falls apart releasing a white light. The armor is then reduced to nothing but dust. “That’s the last of ‘em,” the man says confidently and then vanishes in a bright blue light. “Then that light must have been a soul huh?” Sora ponders aloud as he heads out into the courtyard. He then rushes off toward the Ghost Train that is waiting for him. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oh and here is a crudely drawn picture of the Grunt ![]() |
