Default Stained-Glass Heart

Yeah, another KH Fanfiction. Something that I generally refuse to write, however, I have a strange compelling to write this one. Meh. A short intro follows, and if it's liked, then I shall continue, just like Deeman.

---
[Why me? Why is it me? Why does it have to be me?

The first thing he noticed was that it was cold.

Generally, Taeve was a warm person. But, right now, he was cold. Maybe it was because he didn't have his normal outfit on. He generally wore something a bit warmer, but he his current outfit was different than his regular attire.

Or maybe it was because he was falling through the sky, at what seemed like thousands of miles per hour. Maybe.

He tried looking up, but all he saw was an unparralleled sea of. . . black? It was dark, to say the very least. Taeve felt as if he was staring at a mirror in pitch black. Maybe he was. He wanted to reach out, and touch it, perhaps to test if it was really there. But, he couldn't, as he was already too far away, growing farther every second.

Taeve looked down, and he could finally see what he was falling towards. The sea? Was that it? Yes, it definitely appeared to be water, and it stretched off endlessly, so Taeve assumed it was the sea. And, from what he could tell, he was about to feel a whole lot colder.

He was now near the "sea". One hundred metres. . . . fifty. . . . twenty. . . five. . . Taeve prepared for the coldness to rush over him, to feel like he was going to freeze to death. He was one metre away now. . .

And, as he hit the water, coldness did not rush over him as he had anticipated. Instead, warmth flooded his body.

And he floated downwards still, ever quicker. He turned beneath himself, and saw the ocean floor about fifteen metres from his back. Quickly throwing out his arms and legs, he stopped himself. His bearings were completely twisted; he looked up, but instead looked down. This caused him to panic somewhat, and then, he realized that he was upside-down, and flipped himself right-side up. He then began to swim at the surface, for his lungs had begun to hurt.

As he swam, he felt an odd sensation, but he couldn't his finger on it. It didn't matter; his lungs were seriously aching by this point, so on he swam. He knew he would break the surface in a few seconds. He looked up, and his assumption was correct; the surface was but six to ten metres off. He then swam his hardest, and finally, when his lungs entered "gut-wrenching" mode, he had broken the surface, and gasped for air.

And he found himself near an island. How strange this was. First, the whole falling buisness, now he was near an island. He tried to see what was on the island, but he couldn't see. . . anything. He didn't think much about it; his muscles and mind felt rather tired, so he swam off towards the island. He arrived shortly, and looked about. He walked up, past the beach, surveying his surroundings.

This island was definitely not normal. Although it had palm trees, and primitive wooden structures, most had large holes in them, and a very large treehouse was now on the ground, branch encluded with the package. No, this island was much more. . . "futuristic".

Metal buildings pointed upwards, some around five stories. Some had seemingly erupted from these old structures. Others seemed rather "new"; one thing was certain, though. This island had undergone a drastic change in a short period. Signs of life were still around; some coconuts lay on the ground, half-eaten. Wooden swords lay on the ground as well. Taeve looked around; nobody. Where were they.

"What the heck is this place?", he questioned aloud to himself. It was definitely strange to fall from the sky, fall into the sea, find an island, see massive, "futuristic" structures, and signs of life, but nobody around. Yes, this was most assuredly "strange". Taeve looked around once again, and still didn't see anything. Maybe shouting would work?

"H-E-L-L-OOOOOO?! ANYBODY OUT HERE?!?!?!", Taeve screamed out. He waited, and waited. . . and waited a bit more. Not so much as peep. That was another thing; it was quiet. Too quiet. From what Taeve could see, there were birds nests, and signs of small animals. So why weren't they here? This island had been completely abandoned. Completely.

"And so you shall wake."

Taeve took a double take, sort of.

"Huh? Hey, anybody here?!", he shouted again, only somewhat softer this time. Then, he looked back towards the beach. A person was standing there! From what Taeve could see, they looked to be about his height; 5'8 or something to that extent. They wore a trenchcoat, and had the hood down. Dark red, almost burgundy hair covered their neck, and they had their back facing Taeve. At that, Taeve ran at the person.

"Hey, you! Come 'ere!", he shouted, but the person began walking towards the water. And then, something completely unexpected happened.

The person walked onto the water. He didn't fall in; his height did not begin to sink slowly. He stepped along the water, somewhat slowly. Taeve reached the shore, looking at the person, shock on his face.

"HEY! YOU! WHAT'S GOIN' ON!", he screamed. At that, the person stopped. Taeve gulped. And then, they pulled their hood up, and turned around.

Taeve could not see into the hood at all; it was as pitch black as the sky when he had been falling. The red hair somewhat fell out of the hood, but beyond that, nothingness sat. Taeve gulped once more; this was getting freaky. He wondered who, or what, this person. . . or thing, was.

"So you're the one? I was expecting more, but I suppose nothing is to be expected of.", the person spoke.

Taeve now knew the voice was male; it was deep, and hard. It sent shivers through Taeve's entire body. He didn't understand why, but he knew this guy was bad news. His body had entered "flight mode", meaning he wanted to just scream, and run away. Run far, far away. Where this man couldn't reach him. Or even get close to him. Never, ever again.

"Wh-what do you mean, 'I'm the one'? What the heck are you tal-", at that, Taeve was cut off as the man waved his arm. Although still on the beach, he felt a shadow fall over him. Looking up, he partially yelped, partially screamed, and partially shouted.

A humongous wave had surrounded the island. It was almost entirely circular, save for the beach. That was the only opening. And, from behind the man, a wave of the same size had begun rushing towards the beach. The man simply stood, seemingly unaware of the tsunami behind him. Now Taeve looked up; the waves were about to crash.

All at once, they crashed into the island. Taeve was immediatly pushed back, then up, then down, then right, then left, and every single way. He lost all sense of orientation; he had been swallowed whole by the water. He was facing up now, he knew that somewhat, though he was still being pushed. Shooting a glance upwards, he saw the man standing atop the water, and it appeared as though he was looking at him. Taeve opened his mouth in a scream, reaching his hand towards the man. But he was pushed back again, and flew every which way. And then, his eyes shut.

As he felt himself lose conciousness, he heard a voice. He knew it belonged to the man above.

"Don't you remember, Taeve?"

{Because you are the only one who can finish what was started.}

I wonder if I'll get any comments, or suggestions. I really want to continue this, as I have an intresting plot idea. So, somebody, PLEASE give me a review, or suggestion, or request for more. If you don't, I shan't continue this.

Fantastic so far, Derek-kun! x3 I can't think of any criticism, but I guess I'd want to see what Taeve's importance is, as well as his dream. That guy makes me think of Axel, too... >.>

Otherwise, I can't wait to read more! 83 [Hopefully I'll actually be able to give you some better suggestions next time xD;]

I only have one question to ask Nova: When are you going to update? I want to know what happens! I can only agree with what has been said. So pretty please, with a cherry on top update...and as soon as you can.
