Valley of Darkness

Preview/ Beginning to my story done in the style of KH's Secret Endings. I hope I did this right, and that you guys enjoy it.

"Darkness and Light are brothers. One is not any more evil than the other, but light can seldomly be maniulated. Darkness and Light are, in fact, equal, but not equal." - ???

It was dark, very dark. As dark as one would expect inside of the world of darkness. The surrounding darkness molded its formless shape into two, tall stone walls that rose into gigantic mountains. The rocks of pure inky blackness seemed to become faces of twisted people and creatures to stare down at the valley below. The "faces" stared hatefully at the light colored dirt that made the narrow path through the valley and ever deeper into the inky nothingness.

The dark was a fog. A fog that seeped into your lungs and gripped them so air could not grace them with its presence. A fog that blurred the vision of the Heartless that lined the walls, moving through the darkness like snakes through their burrows. Their eyes cut through the ever familiar blanket of darkness, glaring at the single source of light.

This darkness was a plague. A plague that swallowed up the worlds gathered by the Heartless, never wanting to let go until it was sucked hollow of every bit of light. A plague that made the trees of solidifed ink turn shriveled and dry. Their branches hung out, like shriveled hands grasping for the very source of its formation, to choke it out, to stab it until it bleeds, to rip it to pieces and throw it to the rabid dog of darkness.

Kingdom Hearts... has many warriors it calls its own...

What was the being that made the darkness react the way it does? What warrior could make this darkness shrink back, only to lash out like a cornered hound. The Heartless called him the Keyblade Master, but their mindlessness could not fathom how wrong they were. He was not the master of keyblades, but the Ace of Keyblades.

...some are good, ohters are evil... it's how balance survives

The boy dragged his weary body off of the sand and spat out the fresh blood that dripped from his teeth. He smirked as he got to his knees, then to his feet, his hood hiding the smirk he was giving the surrounding Heartless. He wore a white jacket, the zipper undone to reveal the black shirt underneath. Around the hood was snow-white fur that blew in the wind that whsitled through the valley. His white shorts were slightly dirty from his laying in the path, but he didn't care much. With the speed of lightning, he snatched up a keyblade with his right hand. The legendary weapon was so sleek, so smooth, it looked as if it were made of some pure white ore. The keychain dangling from it read, 'Alpha', the beginning.

As one body, the Heartless charged the keyblader, looking like a sea of glowing yellow eyes from the blader's perspective. When the first of the charging force came within reach, the keyblader spun around, cutting off the top half of two Heartless. Seemlessly, he spun sideways and kicked off the side of the narrow pass and into the air. He tucked into a ball as flames encircled him as he dove towards the mass of Heartless, clearing out ten of them.

Showing extraordinary skill, he weaved between the claws of the assaulting Neo Shadows and used his keyblade to cut out the legs of said creatures. It was like watching a dance in maotion as he brought the weapon up to cleave yet another in two, springing into the air. While still in mid-air and spun again, crescents of energy shooting out to destroy the wielders enemies. When he landed again, his mouth moved to utter an unheard message. He threw the keyblade and watched as it made its way through the ranks of Heartless, only to come back. However, instead of returning to his hands, the blade embedded itself into the ground. The blader snapped his fingers as trails of orange energy shot through the ground, clearing out the first wave of shadows.

...but he is not alone, for Darkness and Light are brothers...

He took the time to catch his breath as another wave of Heartless approached. His mouth moved again to utter another unheard curse. He glanced up when he saw movement, his mouth bending into another smirk. He picked up the keyblade deemed Alpha and reached up to catch a keyblade thrown from above. Time seemed to slow as the keychain swung to reveal its name, 'Omega', the end. He shot the person standing on top of the pass a glance.

The second warrior wore identical clothing, but it was colored ink black. He blended in with the inky darkness, the Heartless looking up to only see him punch the palm of his hand threatningly. He jumped from his perch and into the thicket of Heartless, slamming his fist into the ground. The solid blackness under them cracked and flew off as blue energy shot through the Heartless. Within seconds, both warriors were fighting the Heartless, the blader demolishing the weak Neo Shadow with his two keyblades. His partner, on the other hand, was ripping the creatures to ribbons with his fists, the glove's knuckles covered in solid metal.

However, their confidence had no time to grow, as the flow of Neo Shadow stopped all together. Both warriors looked around when the valley shook violently. They mouthed commands to eachother as their new enemies clawed their way out of the pools of darkness, their long, orange colored claws riping through it with ease. When the new army sprang up, their orang hair appeared like snakes as they hungrily eyed the warriors.

... equal, yet not equal...

"WOW," Sora shot upright in bed, his body covered in a cold sweat. He stared at his sheets, eyes wide with fear. He slowly closed his eyes and allowed his body to calm down before he decided to look around his room. As his bright colored eyes left his sheets, he nearly jumped from his skin. The boy from his dream, was sitting on his dresser casually, his hooded face staring at him. He let out a cry as he fell off his bed and onto the floor, eyes wide again. However, when he blinked and looked to his dresser, the boy was gone, as if he wasn't there.

Thirty days until I come for you, use them wisely, for they might be your last
