~Melodies of Life: Path of Sairu~

The story depicts the journey of Sairu Hayden, the supreme chaser of Dawn, before his ascension as the keeper of the crossroads and during his days at the King's army as a new recruit. Chapter 1: The Aftermath

After the ultimate struggle occured on the Keyblade academy, the once proud institution for training the next generation of Keybearers, collapsed to the ground and became one with the ashes. The struggle left many scars to the students of the academy. Some were severely wounded, some made it alive, while some did'nt make it. And so the kingdom decided to close down the academy for good because of the tragedy that struck down upon them least expectedly.

Sairu sat exhausted on a nearby pile of debris with his head bowed down and leaning to his Keyblade, utterly sleeping. Sweat drops from his face to the floor as fatigue consumed his whole body, halting his initiative to even stand up on his two feet. The 19-year old keybearer took a deep breath and tried to relax himself. "--finally." heaved Sairu in a fragile tone, "--it's over..." the keybearer then lift his head up in the air and tried to feel the sunlight touch his face. He then slowly stood up with all the ample amount of strength he has left in his body. He then attempted to take at least one step from his right foot. But just when his foot about to touch the ground, he loses his balance and suddenly falls over the five-feet pile of debris until finally stumbling down flat on the ground. He then suddenly went unconscious.

After hours of sleeping, Sairu then wakes up and finds himself lying on a bed. He opened his eyes and saw the blurry image of the person watching over him. He cleared his vision and then recognizes the individual, "..Kari?" he moaned. It was his close friend, Kari Dawn who's been watching over him while he's asleep. "So you finally woke up, Sairu." the girl gave him a very bright smile as Sairu slowly sat up from the bed. "what happen--ow!" Sairu then suddenly felt a sharp pain on his head, he reached for his head and felt a bandage wrapped on his forehead. "easy--you mus'nt do any sudden motion, you're wounds have not yet completely healed." Kari then placed her hand on his wounded forehead and carefully supported him as he lied down the bed. Kari grabbed the damped folded cloth and then gently placed it on Sairu's forehead. "We found you lying on the floor back at the academy ground zero, unconscious. I was worried sick about you but then Kiro discovered that you were only sleeping, and thank the Great one you are." stated Sairu's friend, trying her best to hide her sadness from Sairu. He went on a deep thought, trying to recollect himself from the past events occured on the academy on the last 10 hours.

Haha! So you're actually making a fan fic! So when is the 2nd chapter coming out?

Oh yeah, note: Kiro supposedly left Keyblade academy around age 17 because he lost his keyblades. Though, what I said would be non-canon here.

Sairu lied still on the bed with Kari taking care of him while he was asleep and recollecting his thoughts of what happened earlier at the Keyblade academy.

The headmistress of the Darkness section, Maleficent, once again succumb to the darkness' temptation. She began turning her students into mindless zombies using their keyblades as weapons of mass destruction. Fortunately, the 3 other sections; the Twilight, Dawn, and Light sections joined together against the Darkness section. The battle turned a once solemn and place for for learning into an infernal battlefield. Sairu, Kairi and Kiro joined together to overthrow Maleficent and her plot on the second opening of the Door to Darkness. The battle against Maleficent rendered Sairu's keyblades to their limits causing both of his keyblades to broke and so did he.

Light finally shone upon Sairu's face. He woke up early in the morning which very unusual for Sairu because he always gets up late in the morning before. He sat up from the bed and noticed his wound don't hurt much anymore. He turned his head and found Kari soundly asleep from the chair. Sairu carefully removed the bandages and slowly stood up from his bed. He then grabbed his steel clad
leather garb and gauntlets. He went to his bed to fix the blanket. Sairu approached the soundly asleep Kari and carefully carried her and laid her on the bed and went outside to feel the morning breeze.

While outside, he suddenly caught the glimpse of Leon standing beside the door, "A pleasant morning Leon..." Sairu was slightly startled by Leon's sudden notion but he managed to keep his calm mood. "You're up early, that's very unusual of you... so what are your plans?" asked Leon as if he is bringing Sairu unto something, "Plans... dunno." Sairu sighed, confused of where do he go from where he's standing, now that the Keyblade Academy is closed. "I guess I'll have to discover myself more... If only I could take my friends with me." Leon then threw Sairu a letter envelope bearing the seal of the King. "The king asked me to give to you when you're asleep." He opened the letter that given to him and it says that Sairu, and Kari were invited in the Graduation Ball to be held at Disney castle. "too bad Kiro can't come..." he muttered to himself thinking that Kiro can't come because he was dropped from the Academy a long time ago due to the loss of his Keyblades like him only Sairu lost his keyblades more recently.

Aww, I like this so far. And no problem you can use Kari! Hey, this actually does sound like a good idea. Why don't we (as in Gear and me) put up something that tells what Kiro and Kari were doing over the time before they met again? It'd be fun, that's if you think it'd be a good idea. I won't have it anything like your story, KZ. It's just that I've been thinking (for the past month or two) if I should do something that tells what Kari was doing over the past few years.

*well it's been a long while because of computer problems...And now on with the story*

~Getting packed

Sairu then again noticed a little boy with an age of approximately 5 years old, hiding behind Leon; utterly shy or afraid of him. "So who's the tot?" the Keyblade champion began to ask the silent gunblade specialist. "Oh, this rascal here?" Leon patted the young boy and finally came out of his shyness, "His name's Daisuke... don't know where he came from but we found him a few years back during the great storm. Someone left this poor little infant in front of the restoration committee's quarters. I think it's safe for him to stay here for a while." stated Leon.

The boy then approached Sairu and utterly nervous, "Hiya Am Dai-suke--nais too mit yoo." said the little tot in a strange accent. Sairu stooped down on his knees and patted the boy and only replied with a smile. He then suddenly sensed a strange resilience over the tot, strange... I sense a strong resilience in him. I believe he might be a Keybearer someday...

Sairu then stood up and head back to to his room to pack his things up for his departure for Disney castle. As he entered the room, he saw Kari already woke up. He then walked straight to his closet and began packing his clothes. "So, you coming to the graduation ball?" asked Sairu as he organizes his things for departure. "I-I can't..." Sairu was suddenly startled by Kari's reply, he sat beside her to have a light conversation with his friend who seemed troubled. "Why not? If you will not come, I'll be out of place in the forthcoming event and no one else to talk to." he tried his best to convince Kari to come. "I'm sorry... I was summoned by Mistress Lilly back at Gaia to commence my transcendance." it seemed a good news but the young lady is still troubled. "Wow that's great! so, you will become a high summoner like you-- oh...I get it... If you were to become a high summoner, you must first give up your Keyblade." The Keyblade champion finally felt Kari's feelings for that moment. "I'm sorry Sairu... don't worry, few years may pass, at least me,you and Kiro have each other right?" Kari gave him a hug to console Sairu to their parting of ways. "but promise me one thing, if you see me scoundling in future... promise me to stop me at all costs..." Sairu looked at Kari straight in the eyes and said with all his heart, "I will..."

A good one. I do hope it has something to do with Sora though, it's the only character I really really really like to see But don't let that concern you in any way.

So far I think this is a really good story but as several people have already pointed out, try to make the chapters a bit longer but other than that I didn't come across anything major.
