*Shrugs* I liked the books, and i had just finished Raven Rise, as I said eariler. The two lines kind of struck with me. And they seem to fit Q well, from what I've decided on him.

Anyway, while Q himself may be an origional character, his codename (Question), is a nod to a DC hero of the same name.

Well, since I've confided in you, I hope that you don't make it look too much to the MetaKingdom that I described.

It depends on what kind of Kingdom Hearts and what its content is (what hearts does it contain? Men, Worlds, everything)

everything. It is the one true Kingdom Hearts. Think of it as all the other Kingdom Hearts's combined

and dont worry, i dont think i even remember offhand what you described the Metakingdom as.

Phew, good.

Well now that I know that...... I still can't realy think of anything. Since it's KINGdom Hearts, and Kings typically have castles, perhaps put a giant (like, bigger than Hollow Bastion) there, and people make their way through that.

And now, for your entertainment, the continuation of ENDGAME...

*********************
ENDGAME
Part 2
The Magic General

Sora didn’t know what to expect on the other side of the door. It supposedly led to the center of the universe, Kingdom Hearts, but what would it look like from the inside? Would it look like some kind of merger of the many worlds in the universe? A giant castle? Or would it be a number of pillars, like the dream Sora had not long before getting the Keyblade.

The truth was much simpler, yet no less grand when one thought about it enough. The door they walked through opened up into a field of grass. Nearby was a simple, ordinary village. Nothing grand, nothing spectacular; just a regular old everyday town.

“When Kingdom Hearts was created,” the Question explained, sensing the confusion amongst the group, “it was decided that there should be an area that represents the true heart of the universe. Think of a real kingdom. What is the heart of any kingdom, of any world? It’s the community, the people. The ones that aren’t geniuses, leaders, visionaries; the people with no special talent or calling. Every man has a family, friends, and a dream for the future, but it’s the ordinary people who often care the most. These ordinary, everyday people are the life and soul of the world. Every world. They are the backbone of the universe.”

Q gave a slight chuckle. “People like Xehanort can’t see that. They consider ordinary people worthless. But they simply cannot realize that these people care for their future, and that always counts for something.” Q gave another chuckle, “I would have liked to see his face when he entered Kingdom Hearts and came across this simple town.”

Sora and the rest nodded, understanding the logic once it was explained to them. However, they were all too awestruck by the beautiful sight for their minds to comprehend that Question had just explained the reasoning behind the creation of Kingdom Hearts. Even if they had asked, Q would not tell them.

The town itself was peaceful and simple looking. If it had been an actual town, Sora would not have been surprised to hear joyous music playing. Above them was the nighttime sky and the billions of stars that represented the many worlds. It had everything a town needed to exist, even a few farms in the distance, but only one thing was missing: people. This wasn’t much of a surprise, however, considering they were inside Kingdom Hearts. This town was meant to represent the ordinary people, not house them.

“You’ll probably find Xehanort, 14, and Aloz over there,” Q said, pointing to a grand castle on a nearby hill. The castle was large, elegant, and welcoming. What caught their attention most, however, was the giant heart shaped moon directly above it. “Inside there, at the top of the tower, is the center of Kingdom Hearts, the throne room. “Stop Xehanort, 14, and Aloz before they get there or we’re all doomed. Good luck, Sora.”

Sora turned and looked at Question quizzically. “Aren’t you coming with us?”

Q shook his head. “I have something important I must do while we are here, equally as important as the defeat of Aloz and the others. It is a task only I can do. I will try to catch up with you upon its completion, but do not wait up for me.”

Sora nodded, well aware they didn’t have the time for negotiation. Q watched as Sora, Riku, Kairi, Aqua, and Axel turned and continued towards the castle. When they were far enough away, Q turned around to meet his two opponents.

“You saw us coming,” Prometheus said.

Question nodded and bowed elegantly. “Well met, Prometheus and Pandora.”

Prometheus raised an eyebrow, intrigued. “You know our names?”

Pandora analyzed the figure before them. “And you would be the Magic General, whose power and authority is second only to the Council of Elders, correct?”

Prometheus glanced at his sister and then to Q. “This guy’s the Magic General?” he said in surprise.

Q gave another bow. “Why, that would be me, the Magic General of the Mysterian.” Q straightened himself and switched his gaze from one twin to the other. “So, now that the introductions are out of the way, shall we begin, then?”

Prometheus smiled sinisterly and said, “Oh yes, let’s end it!”

Prometheus, impatient as ever and always ready for a fight, charged at Q before he could even defend himself. The instant before his scythe struck, however, Q simply vanished from sight, and the scythe cut through empty air. Moments later, Prometheus felt something hard smack into his back and, combined with the momentum of his charge, Prometheus went sailing forward into the ground. Question had suddenly materialized a long, wooden staff with a metal rod on one end, shaped into a ball at the tip, the letter M engraved in the magically forged steel.

Pandora quickly fired several bolts of lightning at the figure, and Q responded by twirling his staff until it became a circular blur. The instant before the lightning struck, the blur became a hole in space itself, and the bolts pasted harmlessly into the hole and disappeared.

“You take me on with magic?” Q said confidently, “Well, I’m not one to be outdone.” Q smiled and his staff suddenly seemed to glow with a light blue light. Icesickles began to form on it, and Q gave another smile. “Absolute!” he screamed, and Pandora gasped, realizing what was coming.

The ice forming on the staff meant the spell was ice based, naturally. But the calling of the magic word absolute could only mean Q was attempting to call upon the ultimate of ice based magic; the conjuring of absolute zero conditions.

The spell Absolute was overkill, in all honesty, because any living being would be dead and frozen solid long before the spell reached its full effect at a temperature of −459.67 °F.

Pandora knew she had to think fast to save herself and her brother. The temperature surrounding them was already falling at a normally impossible rate. There was only one way to survive the spell Absolute, and that was to phase out of space until the spell ended. However, Pandora knew she would never make it, she could already feel her muscles slowing and her heartbeat dropping dangerously low. In only a matter of moments, she would be dead.

Then suddenly, she felt herself beginning to warm up again. For reasons she could never guess, The Question had prematurely ended Absolute. He waited patiently for his opponents to recover, his staff embedded into the ground and his hands resting on the metal ball, his chin resting comfortably on his hands.
Pandora was about to ask why he had spared them, but Prometheus wasn’t about to give her the chance. He charged at the Magic General, still intent on cleaving his foe into pieces.

Question smiled and prepared himself for the charge by taking the staff in his left hand and gripping the metal rod with his right. In one smooth motion, he pulled the metal rod out of the wood staff, revealing a sword. As well as being the focus for his spells, the Magic General’s staff also served as the scabbard for his sword. Prometheus was not prepared for this strange turn of events, and his strike was easily deflected by Q’s sword.

“You realize this is getting you nowhere,” Question said casually as he parried Prometheus’s next attacks.

“Shut up,” Prometheus shouted as he continued to test Q’s defenses. He had long realized he wouldn’t even scratch the figure with his current strategy, and had decided to simply test the waters before planning his next move. He noted that Pandora was nearly finished chanting a spell; he just had to bait the general a little longer.

However, Q was a resourceful young man, and had long since realized Pandora’s attempt at a sneak attack spell. The instant she fired the blast of ice, Q tossed his wooden staff in her direction while simultaneously parrying Prometheus’s next blow. The wooden staff flew a foot before stopping in midair and spinning, transforming into a magical shield which deflected the blast. Q jump around behind Prometheus, pressed the flat of his blade into Prometheus’s neck, and pushed the man forward, stumbling towards his sister. Pandora saw the move and realized another powerful spell was on the way.

The wood staff flew back to Q’s outstretched hand. Question quickly sheathed his sword and let go of the staff. It floated directly in front of him and began to spin while Q concentrated his energy. The buildup only took a few seconds, but to Pandora it seemed like a lifetime.

Q smiled, the energy of his spell ready to be unleashed. He grabbed his staff with his left hand and held his right hand up to his face. “Time be still,” He muttered, and snapped his fingers.

That instant, time itself stood still. Q, immune to the halt since he had cast it, casually walked up behind the frozen Pandora. When he was behind her, he stopped and turned to face her. He took his staff in both hands and held it like a baseball bat, even positioning himself as if he was a player.

With all his might, Q snapped his hands forward and slammed his staff into Pandora’s back. Nothing happened, of course, but Question knew that the desired result was achieved. He strolled over to Prometheus next, and held out his empty hand towards the scythe wielder. He charged up the spell and released, and it instantly froze in front of his hand, halted by the time stop.

Q walked back to his starting position and snapped his fingers once again, returning time to its normal flow. The moment he did so, Pandora felt the force of a tank smash into her back, sending her flying into the ground. At the same time Prometheus was blasted into oblivion from behind by several fireballs. The Magic General chuckled as the twins struggled to their knees.

“Do you give up?” Question said casually, “Have you had enough pain?”

Prometheus forced himself to his feet and readied his scythe. “Never,” he replied, and charged before Pandora could stop him.

Q dropped his staff and held his hands in front of him, ready to meet Prometheus’s charge. Prometheus raised his scythe, an incomprehensible scream echoing from his lips. The instant before the scythe started downward to decapitate the Magic General, Q ducked under the blade and delivered a powerful chop with his hand. Though not strong enough to break any bones, the blow was powerful enough to make Prometheus cry in pain and drop his scythe, which landed in Q’s waiting hand.

Caught off guard, Prometheus stumbled forward, and Q used the opportunity to trip him with the blade of his own scythe. Prometheus rolled just in time to see the scythe arch down, heading directly for his head. However, Q stopped the swing suddenly, the tip less than an inch from Prometheus’s skull.

“Now then, we can continue this fracas to its final stupidity,” Question said, “or you two can listen to my alternative.”

Pandora limped her way over to the two warriors, carefully going slow enough to be nonthreatening. “What’s the alternative?” Pandora asked, gritting her teeth in pain; Question’s latest blow may well have broken something.

Without taking his eyes off Prometheus, Question stated his offer. “You will not take an active part in the remainder of this battle for Kingdom Hearts. No matter what happens, no matter who Sora and the others beat, you will not interfere. In exchange, not only will I let you live, but I will also remove myself from the battle. No matter what happens, I will not come to the aid of Sora and the others.”

Question looked directly into the eyes of Prometheus, servant of his hated enemy. “So what do you say? Deal… or no deal?”

Prometheus glared at the Magic General. All his instincts told him to reject, to take the battle to its inevitable end. However, common sense overruled instinct at the moment. Prometheus had seen Question fight, and he knew that the General would finish them off without a second thought if he chose to.

He who retreats from battle today, Prometheus thought, lives to continue the war tomorrow.

Prometheus nodded. “Alright. You have a deal.”

Question gave a smile behind his hood and struck the scythe into the ground next to Prometheus and began to walk away from the twins.

“Wait!” Pandora called, and the Question stopped, but did not turn around. “Why did you let us live?” Pandora asked, “You could have killed us easily. You could have ended things just with that first spell, Absolute. And yet we’re alive. Why?”

Question was silent for a moment, and then replied. “Several reasons. Our quarrel is not with you, just your master; I don’t take lives if there is a way to avoid so. And I know what you two really are. You’re not humans, your one of the older races; out of the respect for the old races, I let you live. But the foremost reason is because of your fate; The Elder says you will play an integral role in the future. That is why you are still breathing.”

And without another word, Question continued to walk away.
---------
Sora, Riku, Kairi, Aqua and Axel stared upward at the giant castle looming before them. The citadel seemed so much grander from up close; the walls were perfectly white, similar to Castle Oblivion, but yet it seemed… welcoming. The iron spikes that made up the portcullis were arranged in such a way that the spaces between them looked like hearts.

Of course, there was one thing that wasn’t a friendly sight at all; Aloz the Dark was standing on the other side of the closed portcullis.

“You’ve made it this far,” Aloz croaked, “I commend you. Even without little Xando to guide you, you manage to find the courage to continue to stop me.”

“Open this gate!” Riku yelled at the Morph, “Now!”

Aloz gave a chuckle. “Now why would I do that? So you can beat me to a pulp? Sorry, but I have no intention to get into a screaming match with a caveman.”

Aloz waved his right index finger in a taunting fashion. “I do, however, intend to have a little sport. I’m going to hide somewhere where you will never find me. If you can defeat both the 14th member, whose name is Xion by the way, and Master Xehanort, then I will appear so that we may begin our fracas.”

“And if we refuse?” Sora asked.

Aloz gave another chuckle. “I don’t see why you would. You already plan to take care of Xion and Xehanort as it is, am I correct?”

Nobody answered, so Aloz continued, “Not to mention if you refuse I won’t open this portcullis for you. Remember, this is Kingdom Hearts; you wont be able to force your way into this castle. And this isn’t a door blocking your path; it’s a portcullis, which doesn’t have a lock or keyhole, so your little Keyblades won’t get you inside. If you refuse my offer, your journey ends here.”

Sora clenched his fist. Aloz was right; they would never get in without his help. “Why are you doing this?” Sora asked, “Why help us?”

Aloz laughed and pulled the lever that operated the portcullis. “Because it’s good sport!” he answered, and transformed into mist. When the portcullis was fully raised and the heroes could enter the castle of Kingdom Hearts, there was no sign of the Morph.
******************
Now things are heating up. Sora and the gang are in the castle, but so are Xehanort and Xion, and Aloz is in hiding until they are beaten. The climax is near.

And so we go.

With all due respect,

I guess you don't recall our messages and my description, but it seems the mental image remains in the back of your mind.

Besides its actual source, was there any link between this phrase and, say, my RP character?
