I hope you guys enjoy this chapter. unfortunetly for me, i have been plagued by two things while writing ths chapter.

the first was good old (they need a sarcasm tag) writers block. I just couldnt think of how to transition to the first of the battles in Kingdom Hearts.

the second was general laziness that comes from just getting back from vacation. I'm not used to sitting/ laying down and writing a chapter again yet (its getting there).

so hopefully this will live up to expectations (in my opinion, it could probably have been better). if not... the next one will be better, i promise. because next time... we see just what Question can do combat wise. trust me, it should be interesting.

and with that... begin the ENDGAME!

ENDGAME
Part 1
The Gathering

Question’s Gate opened up into a large, rocky desert area. Directly ahead of them were a series of cliffs surrounded by thousands of rusted Keyblades. The cliffs varied in size and shape, but it was fairly obvious that this structure was not naturally made.

Question’s eyes turned towards the tallest cliff structure, and announced in a grim voice, “We are too late. The door to Kingdom Hearts is unsealed once again.”
Sora narrowed his eyes. He had hoped beyond hope that they might somehow intercept Aloz before he could enter Kingdom Hearts. Now that the door was open, the fate of the universe would be decided by a race.

Atop the highest cliff was a structure. Judging by their distance from the cliff, it must have been huge. However, what caught everyone’s eyes was not the structure, but what was in the sky above it. High in the skies and directly over the cliff was a blue, heart-shaped moon. Kingdom Hearts.

Mere minutes ago, Aloz had flown to the top of the cliff structure with the Key in hand. Sora and his companions had been badly wounded and their friend killed. By the time they could get themselves together and come up with one last plan, he would already be on his way to the core of Kingdom Hearts.

The Morph gracefully landed atop the tallest cliff structure and strolled to the center of the plateau. He gazed upward to the dark, clouded night sky and smiled. After all his planning, after all he had been through, the end was finally in sight. Very soon, everything would be over, and all the darkness in the universe would be eradicated.

For the slightest moment, a pang of sadness filled Aloz. However, he was able to quickly dismiss it by reminding himself of the alternative. He was one of the few that knew the identity of the one true evil in this universe.

This being, this Dark Master, was the controller of all Heartless, and he had been seeking to dominate the universe for longer than anyone could imagine. No human could possibly hope to defeat this being, for it fed on the dark emotions of the heart. The envy, suffering, anger, every dark emotion that could be felt was the nourishment for this being, slightly growing stronger each time it devoured those emotions.

Aloz realized that the only way to even harm this being was to cut off its food supply: the heart. And to do that, he would have to attack at the source of hearts: Kingdom Hearts. But Sora and his self-righteous friends couldn’t see that. To them, he was just a nothing that wanted to destroy everything. They could not fathom that he might actually have a reason to destroy the universe.

His course of action clear to him, Aloz looked to the hand with the Key… and crushed it in his hand. When he opened his hand again, the shards of the necklace fell to the ground and a blue ball of energy formed in his hand. He stretched the hand high into the air and the blue ball shot from it and into the sky. When it passed the clouds, there was a flash of light and the crack of thunder, and the clouds suddenly parted at alarming speeds. As the clouds parted, a blue light began to shine down on the cliffs and the area surrounding it.
The light was being emitted from a blue, heart-shaped moon. When the clouds had pulled away from the surrounding region, another blue light shot down from the heart moon. Aloz took two steps back as the blue beam struck the ground just 10 feet in front of him. As the beam disappeared, Aloz could make out the vague outlines of an archway. The image became more visible and more tangible, until it fully materialized into the gigantic white doorway that was the entrance to Kingdom Hearts.

“I can’t thank you enough for opening the door for me.”

Aloz turned to meet Xehanort face to face. Behind the aged sage were several Heartless, and a quick look showed Aloz that many more were surrounding the cliff.

“Don’t get in my way, old man,” Aloz said, “You’re close enough to death as it is.”

Xehanort couldn’t help but laugh. “I’ve an army of Heartless with me, with Prometheus and Pandora not far away. Even a freak like you can’t stop us all.”

“You underestimate what I can do,” Aloz said calmly, “If I get in a fight with you, we will both be preoccupied for long enough for Sora and his coterie to arrive. When they arrive, you will have not only me fighting against you, but Sora and his band of friends as well. Now, do you think you can deal with all that, old man?”

Xehanort narrowed his eyes at the Morph. He was confident enough in his powers to believe he could handle this freak as well as the Keyblade brats, but what if one of them got lucky while they were all fighting together? It was quite possible the great Master Xehanort might be put down by a cheap shot while he was preoccupied with another threat.

Aloz sensed Xehanort’s uneasiness at the possibility and smiled. “First to the finish, then?”

And before Xehanort could react, Aloz turned around and walked into the giant doorway.
Into Kingdom Hearts.

Xehanort narrowed his eyes and followed the Morph through the door while his Heartless minions stayed behind. They would take care of (or at least slow down) the Keyblade brats when they showed up.

Off in the distance, a cloaked figure watched as Xehanort and Aloz entered Kingdom Hearts. The Heartless were waiting outside, ready to crush anything. However, the figure had an army of its own, and they weren’t anything.

They were nothing.
They were Nobodies.
And she was the leader of them.
She was the mistress of Antimatter.
She was the 14th member of Organization XIII.
She was Xion.

The Organization’s 14th member stared out at the cliff and the giant doorway on top of it. That door was the gateway to Kingdom Hearts, the source of all hearts. This was what she had been waiting for. Xion had been patiently waiting and watching events unfold. When she saw Aloz take the Key to Kingdom Hearts and kill Phantasm (who turned out to be Xando, somehow surviving the fall some time ago), she decided it was time to move to the next phase of her plan. She and her Nobody army waited for the Morph and Xehanort to enter Kingdom Hearts, then she would send her Nobodies to distract the Heartless while she entered and followed them to the center of Kingdom Hearts.

Now it was time to begin the attack. Now it was time to take Kingdom Hearts for herself. She would become the Queen of Hearts, and all would bow before her.

Yes, it was time for the siege to begin.

Two figures watched the door open from another cliff near the door to Kingdom Hearts. The taller figure wanted to move in then and there, but she knew they would be outnumbered. The plan was for them to wait here until the reinforcements came. The tall figure still wasn’t happy about their ‘companions’ for this battle, but she knew they had no other options, and she grudgingly admitted to herself that there were few fighters stronger than the Keyblade brat.

The tall figure’s companion, a short, round, and somewhat stupid being, spoke. “So, how much longer we hafta wait for them?”

Maleficent narrowed her eyes. “Soon, Pete. They should be here soon.”

Prometheus and Pandora watched as Xehanort entered the gateway to Kingdom Hearts along with Aloz. A few minutes later, the 14th member of Organization XIII followed them. Sora and his friends would arrive shortly, and Maleficent and Pete were already hiding, waiting for the Keyblade heroes.

Prometheus gave a smile. After all their planning, the finale was finally beginning. All the forces were coming together, every side of the war drawn to this final battleground. But all their valor and skill would be meaningless now; the god of this universe had already determined this universe’s future. Their master had spoken, and no one could stop him.

Pandora gazed down at the doorway and sighed. The poor humans who tried save their universe had no idea the power they were competing against. If they had known what they truly were facing, they would have given up and resigned themselves to their fate. None who challenged the Dark Master had ever triumphed. And the chances of this being a first were in the decimals.

“It’s time to go,” Prometheus said, “Let’s get front row seats, the show’s about to begin.”
Pandora nodded, and the twins made their way to the gateway to Kingdom Hearts. Indeed, it would be quite a show.

Sora was the first to spot it. Down in the area surrounding the cliffs, the Heartless seemed to already been engaged with another army. As they drew closer to the conflict, they discovered that the Nobodies had already engaged the Heartless. That could only mean that 14 had beaten them here as well. Now they had three enemies to stop from reaching the center of Kingdom Hearts, and they were the last to arrive.

“One moment,” Q said, “We’ll wait here.”

Sora looked at the hooded man quizzically. “Why? We don’t have time to just sit around twiddling our thumbs! Why are we waiting?”

“Backup,” was Q’s answer.

“Backup?” Riku repeated, and then did a double take when he saw who the ‘backup’ was. From a nearby cliff strolled two figures: one tall, one short and fat.

“Oh, no,” Riku said, “No. you cannot be asking us to team up with them.”

“I’m not asking you,” Question said, “I’m telling you. If you want to stop Aloz and Xehanort and Number 14, you need allies, not more enemies.”

“But couldn’t it have been someone else?” Sora asked, “Anyone but them would be fine.”

The taller figure scowled. “I don’t enjoy this… alliance anymore than you do, boy,” Maleficent spat, “but under the current circumstances, I think we have little choice. And every moment we spend here arguing about it is a moment we could spend catching up to Xehanort and the rest of that trash.”

Despite how much he wanted to, Sora couldn’t argue with Maleficent’s logic. They didn’t have time to argue, and they had a small enough group even with Maleficent and Pete.

“Alright,” Sora said reluctantly, “but you’re coming with us into Kingdom Hearts. That way we at least know what you’re doing.”

Maleficent smiled back at Sora. “I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

“Now that’s done with,” Question intervened, “We should move on. We’ve got an army between us and the doorway and a time limit as well. Let’s move.”

With that, Q led the group straight through the clashing armies and they fought their way up to the gate. When they reached it, the two groups split. Leon would take the people from Radiant Garden and defend the gateway to Kingdom Hearts. Sora, Riku, Kairi, Question, Aqua, Axel, Maleficent, and Pete would enter Kingdom Hearts and chase after Xehanort, Aloz and 14.

“Good luck, you guys,” Leon said as the two teams split apart, “and don’t die in there.”

“Same to you,” Sora said, “don’t die on us either.”

And with that, Sora turned and led the others through the doorway… and into Kingdom Hearts.

First of all, Question is an origional character, not Bobby Pendragon. (as for your earlier post, i dont believe i even used Saint Dane in this story).

as for your question itself: Q knows a lot of things. But that is a story for another time (hint hint).

I try to be canon whenever possible, but when i first introduced 14, we knew next to nothing about her ("no name, no other alias"). We didnt see her face (still havent, come to think of it), and we certainly didnt know she wielded a Keyblade (that little bit should be interesting when the game comes out).

So I had to make due with what I had at the time, fully knowing the chances my choices would be canon were "in the decimals" as Pandora put it.

I try to be canon whenever possible, but sometimes you just have to use your imagination.

EDIT:

A NOTICE TO EVERYBODY: I would like your opinion on this for my next chapter. As you know, the final battle(s) for this story are taking place inside Kingdom Hearts. We ended the last chapter with Sora and the gang entering the doorway to Kingdom Hearts.

My question to you is as follows: what do you think Kingdom Hearts looks like from the interior?

Though the chapter is partly done and the 'world' thought up, my curiosity demands I find out your opinion on this matter. I may even incorporate some ideas into the first paragraph of the chapter when i post it.

So tell me, what do you think Kingdom Hearts will look like from the inside?

Just like any hearts. You would feel more alive than ever, and you would be able to see the worlds and basically touch them.

The reason I thought Q was Bobby Pendragon is the, "Hobey ho, and so we go." Seriously, who else would've said that?
