dude you have this all figured out, it's like you invented kingdom hearts!!!!! it's brilliant. you almost remind me of myself, because i'm writing a novel of my own, and it's like 73 pages so far, but i know EVERYTHING and it's funny. you seem to know what you're doing like you were there when this happened lol. like you were the only one to escape alive and tell the tale.

well i must confess, i do know much of what is going to happen already (i have even written two chapters for the final part of this story). and me, invented Kingdom Hearts? lol, i would have loved that to be true! however, while most of the overall story i already know, many things i simply just think up on the spot and then proofread it into what you all read.

and that novel you mentioned, do you mean Begining of a New Fate?

the next chapter will be up by tonight (9 p.m. at the latest, school starts again tomorrow :sad, as will a little surprise...

and now i present Fragmented Tale the 2nd. but first, something else.

yesturday, i got the DVD for Sword in the Stone. to celebrate this event, i have created this little tribute to Merlin (the wizard, not myself, lol). anyone who remembers the movie will likely spot which scene this came from. this tribute has no real effect on the story, just something fun i decided to do.

and by the way, chances are you may recognize the words from one scene in Fragmented Tale the 2nd. i "borrowed" the words from Batman Begins.

A tribute to Merlin
Higitus Figitus

Merlin the magician called Leon and his gang into his house later that day.

“Leon, your restoration committee is getting a little big for all of us,” Merlin said to him, “so I have decided to give you this house,”

“What do you mean, Merlin? Yuffie asked, “Where will you go?”

“I have another house in the forest just out of town,” Merlin answered, “I will simply move in there. That way we all have a bit more space.”

Everyone quickly agreed with the logic there. Things had been getting quite crowded as of late.

“Will you need help packing?” Kairi asked.

“You do have a lot of stuff,” Riku said.

“No thank you, my lads. I will be fine. Besides, there’s only one way to get all my stuff into one suitcase.”

“Humph,” grunted Merlin’s pet talking owl, Archimedes. To put it politely, whenever Archimedes stayed out all night, he was always grumpy the next morning. He stayed out every night, “If you ask me, the old coot’s going to bring the house down with his magic.”

“Oh hush now you,” Merlin replied, jumping on a stool in the center of the room. He tapped the bottom of the chair for attention. He then bent down and swirled his wand in circles while chanting, “Higitus figitus, sumba cazim,”

However, he got his beard tangled around his wand, and had to pull it off.

“I want your attention, everything.”

Suddenly, all of Merlin’s magical belongings came to life and turned toward him.

“We’re packing to leave. Come on, let’s go,” he then noticed a sugar cup moving towards his open handbag, “no, no, not you. Books are always first, you know.”
Suddenly, a strange music filled the room, coming from nowhere. At the same time, an open book in the corner closed and started dancing back in forth in the air, heading towards the bag, followed by all of the other books.

“Hockety, Pockety, Wockety, Wack. Abra Cabra Dabra Nack.”

The books reached his bag and began to shrink to incredibly small sizes.

“Shrink in size, very small. We’ve got to save enough room for all. Higitus Figitus Migitus Mum. Prestidigitonium!”

On the table, books were flying out from Archimedes’s feet, causing him to stubble and fall bottom first on the table. Soon the enchanted silverware started towards the bag, a teapot knocking off the top and spoon for a sugar cup. The cup grabbed its belongings and raced back to get in line.

“Alica Fez. Balica Zez. Malaca Mez Meripides. Hockety, Pockety, Wockety, who...op!”

Merlin suddenly stopped, noticing the sugar cup was beating the teapot back so it could get in line.

“Now stop, stop, stop, stop,” Merlin said, making his way past the floating furniture and to the sugar cup.

“Now see here, sugar boy, you’re getting rough. That poor old tea set is cracked enough,” Merlin scolded, waving his wand at the sugar boy, then went back to his stool. The sugar cup made one last hit at the teapot to get it back straight up.

“Alright, let’s start again. Let’s start aga… where was I now?”

Merlin scratched his head with the tip of his wand while Kairi hesitantly asked, “Hockety, Pockety …?”

Merlin nodded in agreement, “oh yes, yes that’s right.”

Merlin then began to chant faster, dancing on top of his stool.

“Hockety, Pockety, Wockety, Wack. Odds and ends and bric-a-brac…”

Archimedes was flying past the flying furniture, trying to avoid getting hit. When he got to his ‘room’, which was simply a small tree shaped ornament, he went inside and closed the door.

“Be with you in just a few minutes. Packing’s almost done.”

Archimedes’s room then began to float along with everything else, much to the owl’s surprise. He barely got out before the room shrunk and entered the bag.

“You, you, you…BUNGLING BLOCKHEAD!” he screeched. Up by his stool, Merlin was starting to feel crowded. Chairs, chests, and who knows what else were scrunched up next to him, all trying to get in the bag.

“Oh easy there,” Merlin said to a chair, then to a chest, “no, no go ahead.”

Kairi had to jump off the chair she was sitting on, as it was starting to fly away.

“Dum, foodudly, doodudly, doodudly, dum,” he continued chanting, and then commented, “This is the best part now.”

Merlin quickly grabbed his hat before it flew away with everything else. Riku dodged a table that came flying overhead.

Merlin then chanted faster, “Higitus, Figitus, Migitus, Mum. Prestidigitonium!”
Xando jumped off of a rug as it began to fly away.

“Higitus, Figitus, Migitus, Mum..”

The room was in chaos as everything flew every which way. A fireplace came from off its holdings, fire still burning, and flew into the bag. Furniture flew randomly into the bag, shrinking to fit inside.

“Prestidigitonium!”

And as Merlin uttered the final word, his stool flew out from under him. As he fell to the floor, the stool shrunk and entered the bag, which closed itself.

“What a way to pack,” Kairi said in awe as Merlin got to his feet.

“well, just admit it. how else could you get all this stuff into one suitcase, I’d like to know. However, magic wont solve all your problems,” Merlin said as he got to his feet and grabbed his handbag, “for instance, that spell doesn’t work so well when cleaning dishware for some reason.”

And with that, Merlin left through the front door, closing it behind him. Moments latter, they heard a thud, and the door opened once again. Merlin had gotten part of his beard stuck in the door.

Right after Part II ch. 2
Bygone Figment

As soon as Riku jumped through the portal, sealed it with a wave of his free hand, no use giving the enemy an escape route.

“Now then, shall we?” he said mockingly, and then charged right at Maleficent. Pete jumped in front of her and attempted to swat Xando aside, but he merely did a somersault over their heads, landing on the ground below. Suddenly, the earth shook violently, nearly knocking Pete off the roof; Maleficent simply floated down to the ground; Xando easily kept his balance.

“Your skills are impressive,” Maleficent commented while throwing a ball of energy at the boy, “we could use someone like you. You wield the darkness as a friend. You don’t fear it like that foolish boy, Riku. Why don’t you join us? Together, we could…”

“Not interested!” Xando interrupted, swatting the ball away with a ghost sword, “I have but one mission here: to destroy Xehanort!”

“But what if we could help you with that?” Maleficent asked.

Xando narrowed his eyes, “go on…”

“Maleficent, what’re you talkin about?” Pete asked, confused as always, “we don’t need dis’ ‘ere boy!”

“Quite, Pete!” Maleficent yelled, then to Xando, “We also have a quarrel with Xehanort that needs settling. In exchange for our help, maybe you could help us.”

Xando smiled and thought about it for a moment, then said, “Way I see it, I’m helping you just by taking out Xehanort. What more do you want?”

Maleficent smiled, “there is one thing. Something I’m sure you have, or at least know about, Project: ENDLESS.”

Xando narrowed his eyes, “Project: ENDLESS…”

“Ah, so you do know of it,” Maleficent observed, “get us the information you have on Project: ENDLESS, and we will help you fight against Xehanort. Deal… or no deal?”

“Give me some time to think about it,” Xando said after a while.

“Take all the time you need, dear,” Maleficent in her motherly type voice, “merely let us know when you decide.”

And with that, Maleficent and Pete vanished in a Corridor of Darkness, Xando quickly leaving the dying world via his Gate. And then the light of Twilight Town went out, and the world was consumed by the darkness.

Xando wandered Radiant Garden for several hours afterwards, thinking. Despite his determination not to, his thoughts eventually drifted to Colette. For some reason, he just could not stop thinking about her. It’s because of Kairi, he thought, she is so much like her, though it’s to be expected, I guess. Xando turned a corner and began walking down an alley.

You have suffered…

Unsheathing his sword, Xando turned to face the source of the voice. He could see a cloaked figure leaning against a wall nearby, arms folded, his face covered by the hood. Underneath the cloak, Xando could make out armor, and lots of it. In his hands, the figure held a helmet.

“Who are you?”

One who is very similar to you, Xando, Prince of Shadows…

Xando quickly realized that this strange figure was speaking directly into his head.

“You’re voice, it’s in my head. Just what are you?”

The figure merely shook his head.

Merely a figment of the past, lingering forever throughout time, kept alive because of my own hatred, one that we share …

“Care to explain yourself?” Xando asked threateningly, he was not in the mood for riddles or enigmas.

The figure made a sound that seemed almost like a laugh.

In due time, though I would have imagined one such as you to already understand me.

“Sorry, enigmas aren’t my thing, try making some sense.”

The figure unfolded his arms and began walking towards Xando.

My, aren’t we demanding.

The figure walked up until he was just out of reach of Xando, and Xando saw his face for the first time.

The man was perhaps 20 at least, with brown hair and a black blindfold over his eyes.

“I know you…” Xando breathed suddenly.

Ah, it seems you recognize me. Good. Very good. That saves us the time of introductions.

“It all makes sense now. You share my hatred for him.”

Indeed. And because of that, I understand you better than anyone else, save yourself, can. I know the rage that drives you. That impossible anger strangling the grief, until the memory of your loved ones is just… poison in your veins.

The figure turned away, his hands clenched into fists.

And one day you catch yourself wishing the person you loved had never existed, so you'd be spared your pain.

“let me guess,” Xando said sarcasticly, “‘with great power, comes great responsiblilty’, right?”

something like that.

The figure then began to walk away.

I’ll be in touch, Xando.

Xando chased after him, but by the time he had gotten around the corner, the mysteryous being had vanished.

“I can hardly believe it’s him,” Xando muttered. Noticing it was well past midnight, he made his way to Merlin’s house, where he had dropped off Riku and Kairi.

Good chapter, but am I supposed to know who the figure is or will that be revealed in later chapters?

Edit: Is the blindfolded figure the guy from the 300 that leaves to get renforcements for Leonidas?

more information on our mysterious blindfold man. if you read the quotes from batman begins ("I know the rage that drives you.
