Actually, it's not hopeless. Remember Sora took down 1000 Heartless single handedly and still has strength left. Actually, this fanfic didn't give him the strength he deserved, sorry Merlin.

Sora even faced Sephiroth one on one in BOTH games, and afterwards wasn't even panting! I agree, he has more power than he is being given credit for.

Einon must be stopped! The monster! How could a young boy turn into something so twisted and hideous, killing his own mother? Using the Heartless to rule a kingdom? A young, just lad turning into a horrible monstrosity......good story.

actually no. in the movie (i think i cut it out here) when Einon's father is killed and Einon takes the crown from his fathers head, Frayne uses his last bit of strength to try and take the crown from his son, and Einon struggled and said,
"Let go of it, it's mine!" even as his father lay dying, he showed little to no compassion. Einon, unlike Anikin, was always like that ("Even then i knew of his bloodthirsty nature, but i thought my heart could change him..."), he simply didnt show it until after he took the thrown (coincidently after Draco gave him half his heart).

also, on the Sora's strength question. i realized that partway through the story, but by then it was too late to change anything. So basically i have to say that these Heartless, for whatever reason, are stronger than ever before. this is also a side result of taking a game with a combat system like Kingdom Hearts (Hit Points rather than actual wounds that could seriously hinder combat ability, to name one) and giving it a bit more... realistic outlook (enivitable in any game to book transition). the closest you could get to a videogame giving realistic combat (using the KH system, anyway) is in the cutscenes. but yes, Sora is somewhat underpowered here. i hope to remedy that in the future.

i guess now is as good a time as any to formally anounce it. I am planning on a sequal (in a sense, see below) to KHD (my personal abbv. for Kingdom Hearts: Destati). this next one (tenativly called Destati II, or D2) should be better as far as character development goes, as i plan to use more origional characters than i did here (but, in the spirit of KH, cameos from FF and Disney will still appear).

the main thing i want to say is this: this fanfic (Kingdom Hearts: Destati) is meant to be my ending for the KH series, as well as the first 'book' in this next series (which may only be 2 'books' long, due to personel reasons). without revealing too much of the plot (still under construction in my mind), i will say the following.

1. the game takes place some time after KHD.
2. a new mysterious villain is revealed, as well as a powerful new ally (well, one of them has been seen before...)
3. the Heartless are still around, and growing stronger with each day.
4. if certain events cannot be stopped, a mysterious device called the Armegeddon Device (tenative name) will be activated, ending all life in the universe.

5. Aloz's last words (not yet revealed, obviously) will become clear(er).

a forgotten world
an inbetween land in the truest possible sense

The Armegeddon Device

Hmm. Is this taking any inspiration at all from mine? Some of that sounds a little too familiar...But It'll be good nonetheless.

The Armagedon Device sounds a bit like the roled of the Halos in the Halo series, to purge the galaxy of the Flood in the event of an infestation.

You should have put a spoiler tag in their, Herr Merlin. Aloz's death is a significant event that you just gave away. Being an amazing villain, I was hoping he would persevere into the sequel.

Einon is NOTHING compared to Anakin. If Anakin wasn't so distressed in his heart and mind thinking of a way to prevent his love from dying, he wouldn't have fall into the Darkness' trap so easily. He was a hero, and in the end when he came to his senses, he still is one.

I doubt it. the above is only a rought, rough outline on something i havent even pup on pap...er word, yet. this is something i have given thought since Part IV.

and yes, the Armegeddon Device is my spinnoff of Halo.

Yeah, my outline, despite you saying it being detailed, is still only in planning stages. I have no clue how I am to integrate my characters into the worlds I include. And I've only got six unique scenes planned in my head.
