Fragmented Tale the 10th
Some time after chapter 6
Advent

Somewhere in the realm of darkness, Xehanort sat at his desk, looking over his battle plans. Valzog was gathering the army together, preparing them for war. In a matter of days, they would be ready to storm the realm of light and capture Kingdom Hearts. When he thought of what would happen next, Xehanort smiled.

“Having fun?”

Xehanort turned to see who spoke, and found too familiar faces staring back at him. There was no mistaking their jet-black hair and their red eyes.

“Prometheus and Pandora,” Xehanort said, “we meet again.”

“And so we do…” Prometheus began.

“…meet once more,” Pandora finished.

“What can I do for you?” Xehanort asked.

“On the contrary…” Pandora said.

“…We’re here to help you!” Prometheus finished, “Here to help you get…”

“…Control of Kingdom Hearts,” Pandora concluded.

Xehanort held back his annoyance. Talking with those two was always a difficult chore, as they often completed each other’s thoughts. However, Xehanort had dealt with them enough to be used to the switching.

“Oh really? If I do let you join, what do you get out of it? What is it you want?”

“Our only desire…” Pandora began.

“…Is to crush those who would dare defy you!” Prometheus finished, “And watch you…”

“…Rule the universe as king of darkness.”

“I find it hard to believe that’s all you want,” Xehanort said skeptically, “there isn’t anyone alive that would follow another just to see them win.”

“Our only other desire…” Prometheus began.

“…Is to defeat warriors…” Pandora continued.

“…Worthy of our talents,” Prometheus finished.

Xehanort thought about it for a moment, and then agreed to their terms. After all, two warriors who lived only to fight would indeed be a good help in a war. He dismissed the two figures then and continued studying his plans, making alterations to consider his two new allies.

“Xehanort is a smart man,” Pandora said to her brother as they walked through the castle.

“And yet a fool,” Prometheus concluded, “but a powerful fool nonetheless and…”

“…A valuable pawn,” Pandora finished.

“Indeed,” Prometheus agreed, “a valuable pawn in our little Game of Destiny. They are all pawns, truth be told. Sora and his little friends, Xehanort and the Heartless, the Nobodies, and even…”

“…That future boy,” Pandora continued, “Xando, Prince of Shadows. He could be quite useful…”

“…As powerful as he is. No one else has ever gotten so close…”

“…To defeating you in battle.”

“I let him win, remember?”

As the topic of Xando came about to them, both their minds turned back 1 year ago, when they first met Xando.

Xando was meeting with the two hooded figures he had met with one year ago, in the alleys of Radiant Garden. He had spent almost as much time meeting with them as he did on the Wasteland training Riku and Kairi for when they would travel to the realm of darkness to rescue Sora.

He had just left the alley, their meeting concluded, when he heard voices speaking around the next corner. Not taking any chances, he drew Xcalibur and listened.

“Xehanort sure blew it,” one figure, a male, said, “to…”

“…let two of the Keyblade Wielder’s escape,” a second, this one female, voice finished, “all because of that mysterious boy…”

“…Xando,” the first voice said.

Hearing all he needed, Xando turned the corner to face his opponents.

“Nice night for a funeral,” he said, “let’s make it yours.”

“Speak of the…” the woman began.

“…devil,” the man finished, “if it isn’t little Xando, Prince of…”

“…Shadows. Run along, little prince…”

“…before you get hurt!”

Xando narrowed his eyes; these two were simply annoying with their speech. “You talk too much,” he said, then summoned 10 ghost swords.

“Nice sword,” the girl commented, summoning a staff began floating in the air, “perhaps this encounter…”

“…Will be fun after all,” the man said, summoning a scythe, “the name’s Prometheus, and this…”

“…Is Pandora. Do us a favor and…”

“… Don’t die too quickly.”

Prometheus charged at Xando, but Xando sidestepped the blow easily. Prometheus, unable to defend himself while completing the swing, couldn’t block Xando’s slash with his sword. Pandora merely sat on her staff, floating in the air, and watched the combat.

“You’re good, I’ll give you that,” Prometheus said, rolling to his feet, grinding his teeth from the pain, “but a corpse is still a corpse.”

“I agree,” Xando smiled sinisterly, “but let’s see who the corpse is!”

Xando charged straight at Prometheus, but the skilled fighter managed to get his scythe up to parry the blow and began a counterattack. Xando ducked under the blade and struck another blow. Prometheus completed his swing and then swung around the other way, hoping to decapitate the Prince of Shadows.
Xando was too fast, though, and rolled back away from the swing.

Pandora easily blocked the ghost swords that tried to attach her, using magical force fields to keep them at bay. Prometheus swung his scythe at Xando, and an arch of flame flew from it straight at Xando. Xando sidestepped the blast and barely got his sword up in time to block Prometheus, who had tried to charge at the distracted Xando.

“You’re no ordinary man,” Xando said while their blades locked, “I can feel it. There’s something… abnormal about you, isn’t there, Prometheus.”

“How right you are,” Prometheus said, then disengaged and dismissed his scythe.

Xando, sensing the obvious intention of his opponent but not one to miss an opportunity, charged forth and plunged his sword into Prometheus’s chest. Xando pulled it out again, and Prometheus staggered backward, a hand clutching his wound.

“Stop the faking,” Xando said coldly, “you can’t fool me.”

Prometheus smiled and pulled his hand away, the wound already vanishing due to some strange magic.

“I cannot die so easily,” Prometheus said, “it takes more than a blade to finish me off. Let that be a lesson to you when we next meet.”

And with that, Prometheus vanished in a dark corridor. Seeing the battle was over, Pandora pushed back the ghost swords and likewise vanished.

Xando dismissed his ghost swords and sheathed Xcalibur, already contemplating these two new opponents.

indeed, the sibling manipulators, Prometheus and Pandora, are the 7th side of the war, though they work alongside Xehanort for the majority of the war.

as of now, i will be returning to my usual schedule, two chapters a week. school starts for me Wednesday, so i wont have as much time as i did teh last week. the next chapter should be coming Friday.

yet another great chapter. duh! i should have guessed Pro and Pan. (i'm just gonna call 'em that.) but now that we know all the sides of the war, i can't wait to see what happens next.

well, we first continue Notre Dame story, then we kick off teh first battle that starts it. before its over, we'll have a death.

The two warriors are still not strong enough to defeat Aloz the Dark. The only chance will be them to work together, and of course Sora or Xando to end it.

And that Aloz grows stronger each day... WOOT!

You would be surprised just how powerful Prometheus and Pandora are. but yes, they are no match for Aloz in a physical battle...

and yes, he grows stronger with each person, Heartless, Nobody or even Morph he kills. our heroes will be hard pressed to end his threat. But Sora Riku and Kairi have a war to strenthen their battle prowess, and a confrontation will Aloz could be months away... or it could be tomorrow.

Das good chapters once again! One question though: who would it take teamed up to defeat Aloz is combat?

well given pressent circumstances, i would guess Sora, Riku, Kairi, and Xando working together, and even then it would take a little luck. but things change, so it might get more favorable (for one side or the other) by the time of the final battle against him.
